A little about me. I currently have a great gig hanging out with my three-year-old son. But when he is sleeping I am all about my work in sterling silver (www.maryellendoran.etsy.com) My background includes a formal art degree with emphasis in graphic design and a lot of years of practice in that field... It is nice to be working with some other media now.

A big art history buff, I especially am drawn to the Art Nouveau movement. Cooking makes me happy as does visiting new places and meeting interesting people. I love coffee. I love books. I wish I could do more recreational sailing racing.

For swaps one easy thing for me is fonts - I adore letters - capital or lowercase; serif or sans; italic or roman - modern or antique, you need not send just my initials I love them all equally! Seriously, I study the history of fonts for fun.

My favorite color is brown. I also like black, blue, and white. In jewelry I love all natural stones but preferences are lapis, bronzite, and amber. I prefer silver over gold. I have pierced ears.

In general my taste is modern. I will more often than not choose plain over showy or lacy. I like crisp lines and edges, and I will always choose well made over trendy.
