My name is Maya and I am 32 years old. I have this cute cat which is the star of my flicker account. She and I, we have a special bonding. No such a loving cat in the world. My precious boyfriend does not allow me to publish photos which he is in, so some of my nicest pictures have to be away and forgotten in the abandoned folders of my computer. We all live in Tel Aviv since I am an urban woman and unfortunately there are no other cities in Israel. I am a practical scientist in vocation and I also into art and style as a hobby.

In general - i like things i can use rather than just pretty or decorative ones.

For my swap pals, Feel free to be creative. The followings are very specific but you may take it in a more general manner, to understand better what kind of things I like.

• I am looking for a cute and practical bento box (Japanese lunch box) but it is hard to find something that i like here.

• i need a new tote bag but i have kind of specific requests. it has to be not larger than A4 size but not too much smaller than that either. it needs to have a zipper so i can close it. it needs to have a least two pockets, at least one has to be internal. the strips has to bee large enough to hang on my sholder and hold under my arm. i am very open to design and style. it can be sewed, knitted, felted, paper... anything.

• I rather have few good quality things than a lot of cheep stuff – although sometimes you can find cute things at a budget store, which I don’t object. i love having things made with care.

no need to send me those stuff:

• Earrings (don’t wear them) and jewelry (i have very particular taste)
• Anything with images of fish, snakes and bugs
• I am not a big fan of polka dots
• Liqueur filled candies
• Religious stuff (like Christmas stuff of Easter bunnies – I am not a Christian)
• Tea

Usually it takes about 2-3 weeks for mail to arrive to or from Israel so be patient (2 weeks for US and 3 EU).

I try to mail not at the last moments if possible but sometimes i need the extra time to prepare a good swap.

Another thing - I can hardly read cursive writing so please write print writing, specially if you want me to know who you are!!!

When you send packages to Israel, anything over 40-50 $ will be held at the custom. So when you send it please make sure you will write only 10-20$ on the package, otherwise they will hold it, and I'll have to pay lots of money to release it. Also make sure you describe your package as boring as possible.... crafts supplies, candies... etc...

My favorite colors now are: black, navy blue, russian blue, strawberry red, cherry red, apple green, banana yellow, canary yellow, white. But i don't hate any colors - no discrimination!!! My favorite pattern now is kawaii and japanese blossom.

Sewing, Knitting, Painting (acrilic), and in between. I also like to experience new crafts of all kind. I like to recycle candles into new candles. I like too cook and bake but I mostly like the kitchen accessories. I tried to garden butmy plants died from the polluted air here in the city. I am trying to sew myself clothes - sometimes it comes out wearable. I like to make fabric dolls. I also make toys for my cat since she keeps loosing them or just tearing them apart. I like to decorate stuff. I like to glue stuff like plastic flowers, sparckling stones and other cutties. Sometimes i sew bags but i never keep them to myself.

i am always happy to experience with the crafts and new materials.
