I'm a newbie to this. I've heard about it from other crafters and I love the idea. I'm hoping this will get me more motivated to do art. More often than not I start a project and find myself distracted by life's demands and never get the chance to complete it. I'm hoping to participate in a few swaps, nothing too demanding to start, and hope to get my crafting engine going!

More about me than you'd probably like to know: I'm a 27 year old gal living in the hills in northern California. I work as a bartender in the best neighborhood bar in town. I love it! Gives me a chance to let out my sassy side!

I've been a vegetarian all my life. I love to cook and eat yummy food. Though I'm not very good at following recipes, a nod to my creative mother who always adapts recipes generously. I have a garden in my back yard that I'm very proud of. I'm growing three varieties of tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, japanese eggplant, peas, basil, mint, oregano, sage, thyme and catnip.

I would consider myself alternative if I had to put a label on it. I love tattoo's and piercings and currently have purple hair. I love the expression of art on the body but honestly hate being asked about my tattoos. They are all very personal. Its amazing what complete strangers will ask you and expect you to answer. Some people (especially drunks in the aforementioned bar) have very little respect for personal space and privacy.

I love old school pin-ups and tattoo art as well as mexican folk art, i.e. dia de los muertos Rocks! I also adore Salvador Dali and other out there/odd oil paintings.

I love animals. I have two cats, Izzy and Cosmo. And while I do favor them a little too much sometimes, the love and companionship that they provide is worth it! I'd like to get a dog someday, but not until I have the time and space it desires.

It has been a long time since I've been intellectually stimulated. I loved being in college and want to go back and get my masters someday. Its a huge mountain to tackle, which is why it hasn't happened yet, but it is one of my biggest goals in life.

I love wine. I generally drink reds in the winter and whites in the summer. My current fave are dry rose's for summer. Anyone who mocks pink wine hasn't tried a dry rose from Italy or Spain. They are the perfect BBQ wine!

I love the river and am so lucky to live so close to the best river in the country.

Friends and family are incredibly important to me. I don't make friends easily or in excess. I truly value the friends I have and hold them close to my heart. I'm very close to my family. They have supported me unconditionally throughout the years and have helped me to become the strong independent woman that I am. I don't have any kids but hope to someday start a family of my own.

I don't really watch TV but I love movies and watching TV series on dvd. I loved six feet under, sex and the city, friends and carnival. Currently watching The Riches, Alias, Dexter and The Office.
