I am new to the swapping business. I have swapped my work with a teacher that I work with. She has taught me so much. I participated in a post card swap this past year and I loved it, so I thought I would give this a go. The best part of the post card swap was getting something from different people in the mail. It was exciting!!

I kind of started painting a few years ago when I painted my old wooden chairs in my classroom. Then it turned to rocks when I made every teacher in my building a fish(out of rocks) and painted them. We were following the FISH philosophy at that time and I thought it would be cool. Then my teacher friend showed me ATC cards and I was hooked. Most of the time I make something and stick it in a box. The picture on my profile is my mandala I drew with my classes. I don't know how to get my other pictures on here. I taught music for 23 years, and now I am teaching a subject called AVID, a class that helps students focus on preparing for college. So far it is very rewarding to see the students excitement about their possibilities in life.

I love vintage pictures, collage, old magazines, scrapbook paper, gel pens, scrapbooking ribbons, rhinestones, acrylic paint, water color crayons and all school supplies. I loved mixed media projects. I dream of putting together an altered book and making a journal. I prefer homemade cards to store bought. I don't like pastel colors or cartoon characters. I really do not like cards with just stickers on them.

I have been married for 17 years to my college sweetheart. We have two beautiful sons. Jared is 14 and Jack is 8. They are both so smart. I watch them in amazement that I had a part in creating them. They are the joys of my life. We also have 3 dogs, a lab named Angus, a great pyrenes named Fiona, a golden retriever named Maizy and a cat named Cinco de Meow. One because she was born on May fifth, and second because she was our fifth animal. Our house is a zoo sometimes but I couldn't be happier!!

I love reality shows....sick I know, but for some reason I'm drawn to them. I also LOVE True Blood, The Glades, Big Bang, Modern Family, Cougartown, The Middle, Chicago Code, Defenders. I loved Boston Legal, but they took it off the air. I also LOVE Glee even though they are taking the show to some levels that I don't think should be on at 7 at night.

Stay at home and make stuff all day. Open my own artsy store. Be a movie star or a rock star, I love to sing. Live in Sweden or Norway. Travel the world. Make sure that my kids grow up and be happy. Keep my mom alive forever. Meet Justin Timberlake, Jack Black, Will Ferrell, Kristin Wiig, and Justin Timberlake, oh I already said him, well I really would like to meet him:) Get back my wedding ring that some idiot stole from me. and lots more.......

I will rate as soon as I get your package. I put a lot of thought and work into my swaps. I like to send extras that someone might be able to use, and also because it makes me happy:)
