Hi! I'm Sammie, and it's been a loooong time since I've been on Swap-Bot, so I apologize if my profile is lacking! I'm working on filling everything out again (the previous information was five years old!), and it'll be fully fleshed out and accurate in no time. :)

I'm a twenty-something blogger, writer, and self-proclaimed autodidact with a love of the written word.

I work from home in web syndication, so I'm a fan of anything that makes hours of computer work easier and more enjoyable--especially if it involves coffee, tea, or hand lotion.

My hobbies include reading, writing, traveling, going to concerts, and collecting vinyl records.

I love: bath & body products (lip balm, bar soap, scrubs, body butter, etc.), indie perfume (BPAL, Haus of Gloi, etc.) candles & wax tarts/melts, vinyl records, coffee, tea, things with a punk or grunge aesthetic, nail polish (and those nail decals/stickers, too!), FunKo Pop! figures, red lipstick, sugar skulls, hair accessories (I have very short hair and love things like bobby pins/hair slides, headbands, and bandanas!), earrings, washi tape, and ink pens.

My favorite colors are orange, red, kelly green, olive green, forest green, fuchsia, magenta, periwinkle, and navy blue (my hair is actually navy blue at the moment!).

My favorite scents, lately, are gourmand or fruity! Scents I like in particular are apple, coconut, caramel, anise, rose, peach, cinnamon, coffee, orange, patchouli, hazelnut, cherry, almond, and buttery notes.

I'm not crazy about: zombies and pickles.

I'm also changing my eating habits to better control a health condition (PCOS), so I'd rather not receive candy, chocolate, or other sweets.

I'm honestly not a very picky person! If you've put thought into it and think I'd like it, I'm sure I'll love it. :)

I've got a lot of love for most genres of rock--classic rock, indie, pop punk, and the like--and I've got a soft spot for some pop, too. Country music, heavy metal, and rap aren't really my thing.

The Harry Potter series, The Princess Bride, Anansi Boys, and Stardust.

I actually do a LOT of reading, as a book review blogger. I primarily read sci-fi, fantasy, and YA, but I'm open to other genres (not a big fan of romances or westerns, though).

Men in Black, The Princess Bride, Howl’s Moving Castle, Pacific Rim, The Lego Movie, and pretty much every superhero movie (though I have a soft spot for Captain America and Loki... er. I mean Thor).

Supernatural, Star Trek, Firefly, Orphan Black, Leverage, Smallville, Sleepy Hollow, Fringe, Chuck, The Golden Girls, The I.T. Crowd, and Miranda.
