I always send out my swaps and I rate as soon I receive my swaps. I keep track of when my swaps get rated, so I appreciate a timely rating. I do understand that real life gets in the way sometimes, but rating is the only way for me to know that you got your items. If you feel they do not meet swap requirements, please let me know and I will fix it, but please dont keep me wondering if you got it.

***I have a tendency to sign up for several similar swaps, so if you get my name twice close together, please feel free to send them to me in the same envie. I believe in being frugal (not cheap, but I want the biggest bang for my buck.) Whether this relates to money, goods or the planet. So if I can find a way to conserve and still get a better quality or bargain in the long run I will do it...so dont feel bad about sending in the same envie to me...I will do the same.

****As I have joined several Christmas Swaps, I want to let people know that I am a religious person. I celebrate Christmas as a celebration of the Birth of My Saviour Jesus Christ. I like pictures of snow men and santa and all the different decorations of the season, but my favorite thing about the season are all the different Nativity scenes. If you celebrate another Holiday at this time of the year, please feel free to send me a card for that holiday. I love to learn about others and their religious beliefs, but I ask for the same courtesy. If you have questions or concerns about sending me something, please feel free to message me, but I am pretty open.

I am a 911 operator. I love my job and have the greatest respect for the police, fire and ems personnel on the street putting their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe.

I also am a Pampered Chef Consultant. I like to cook and play with kitchen tools. I love to try out new recipes and techniques.

In my free time, I play in the SCA, Society for Creative Anachronism. This is a recreation and historical research society. Within the society, I play a 14th Century Welsh woman. I enjoy Calligraphy, illumination, fiber arts, sewing, bardic arts and ,my biggest love, period gardening. This is a worldwide organization, so check it out at www.sca.org.

I have one dog, my mini dachshund, Daisy. I also have recently aquired a small tank of fish and 8 chickens. They keep me pretty busy around the house. I have never been married and can not have children. I do have 4 god children (aged 13-3), 2 nieces(2 1/2 and 15 months)1 Nephew- 4months. all of whom I love to distraction and spoil as much as I am able.

I am also a cancer survivor! I am 3 years into my remission. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, cancer of the uterus wall lining. I work hard at loving life and cherishing each day I have.

My favorite authors are Nora Roberts, Laurrell K Hamilton, Jude Deveraux, Joanna Lindsey and Gregory McGuire.

I also love books about history, no matter where or when. I love to learn.

I love the Harry Potter series, vampires, werewolves, dragons, and other fantastical creatures. I love fairy tails in all their incarnations.

The only type of movie I dont like are slasher movies. I think that movies that leave the gory stuff to the imagination are much more scary, much more fun and tend to have better story lines.

I have an extensive movie collection that ranges from the latest box office hits to the golden age of the silver screen. I like movies that make me think, cheesy and campy movies...even ones that have completely improbable ideas, so long as they are fun!

My Favorite Animated movie is Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent is my favorite character. But I love all fairy tales in their many incarnations.

The only movie I have ever had to replace because I just flat wore out the first copy is Down With Love. I grew up on the old Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies (they are still some of my favorites) I just love this modern take on that same venue of romantic comedy. I also love Elvis movies and John Wayne Westerns. I also love Science Fiction, Action and Horror (there is a difference between horror and slasher) I especially like the older style of Horror, like alfred hitchcock, but a modern favorite is Darkness Falls.

I hate reality shows...I will watch Dancing with the Stars with my mom, because I love dancing! If it includes watching people in their everyday lives, I am bored. I have my own life to live and dont have time to watch other people act outrageously just to make money. These people are not celebrities, they are just sad.

Country is my first love..especially Garth Brooks. I also like comedy, Ray Stevens, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White

I also recreate the middle ages, so music and poetry written in a medieval style or from pre 1600.

I will listen to anything accept gangster rap...I dont mind the beat, but I do object to many of the themes in that type of music.

Scrapbooking, I have a bad habit of making books for everyone else but myself. I also enjoy sewing, woodworking (on a small scale), stamping, beading, cross stitch, calligraphy and doing illuminated medieval scrolls. I began making atc's when i started here on swap bot- they are totally addicting!

I love purple, black, fleur de lis, crescent moons, cooking, cats and dogs (but especially big cats, all of them but panthers specifically), beads, scrapbooking, atc's. I love chinese and seafood.

I also love collecting pc's. I enjoy all of them, but touristy ones and state maps are my favorites. I almost have one state map from every US state, but I am missing a few: Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, Mississippi, Nevada, Rhode Island, and Vermont...so close!

Honesty..if you're going to be late, let me know. Just be straight with me...A late swap is not life and death. If you be honest with me about the hold up, I am much more willing to let it go, then if you mark it sent and I dont ever hear from you and have to hunt you down.

DISLIKES PINK- I use it when I have to for my young nieces, but there are so many prettier pastels.

Negative people - I deal with enough negativity everyday (job hazard) I refuse to put up with it in my social life. if something displeases you, let me know and I will work to fix it, but dont whine and complain at me and then refuse to let me fix the problem.

I hate torn book pages! I understand that altered books is an artform many may enjoy. I have a love for the written word. Also, though books are widely available, desecrating them to me is not art. I have been known to read a book well past pages falling out, taped back in and still falling apart. Even when I replace my copy, you will probably find the old one in a place of honor on my book shelf. Please do not send me pages torn from a book. scrapbooking papers that look like book pages and magazines are fine, but not books please, I dont use them and it breaks my heart.
