Celebrating 50 years of knitting fun!
I'm an avid knitter and sometimes crocheter - but not spinner - I like to knit so much I'm happy to let others do the spinning. I love multicolor yarn - whether handpainted or commmercially variegated (e.g. Noro) - and mostly knit at worsted gauge and bigger - no teeny, tiny needles for me.
I use patterns and designs as inspiration, but yarn talks to me and I have to do what it tells me. I typically mix many fibers/textures/colors in any piece whether it is a hat, scarf, shawl or sweater. I mostly work with natural fibers, but do not distain synthetics at all - they do enter in now and then. I love what the internet has opened up for knitters - community, indie designers, easy research, video tutorials and so much more!
