Hmmm, I was born and raised in west Michigan. I have lived in Indiana and Germany, and currently live in Wyoming, in the Big Horn Mountains. I have 4 grown daughters, a grown son, and a 14 year old boy still at home.I have 11 grand kids ranging from 19 to 1 yr. My husband and I have our own plumbing business, I run the office at home, so... I quilt several hours a day. I have been quilting for 20 years, usually its all improv. FW is the first pattern that I have ever used. This is a skill builder! I have never worked with such little pieces before. I am using MM templates. I love the Coral block and dislike the Katherine block ( she's to busy for me). I love bright colors. Turquoises and teals are my favorites, earth tones come second. I am not fond pastels, really dislike pinks and purples unless they are bright and bold. I don't have a favorite or least favorite fabric or designer. My stash includes a bit of everything...from vintage 30's & 40's shirting's and feed sacks to sugar skulls, Harley's, and animals...and everything in between! I am an avid cook and baker. I collect cookbooks and anything with Dragonfly's on it. I love to garden. I will read just about anything except romance novels. History, different cultures, and religions fascinate me. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs...my cats all "help" with the quilting, the dogs" help" in the garden by digging the carrots and potatoes when I forget to shut the gate! I don't use apron's, but they hang in the kitchen for color. I have been called an old hippy & earth mother, with a side of dry, sarcastic humor.
