When I “retired” from the full-time work force four years ago, I asked God, “Well, You gave me this talent! What do You want me to do with it?” He replied, “Go make people smile!”

Well, I took that “charge” and tried many, many things--failing at some but succeeding at most. I decided I would try anything once, twice if I liked it! I have had no formal training--other than art classes in high school and college so I really believe I have a “God-given talent.” I love to scrap book, make greeting card, "playing" with polymer clay & have been told I am a paper artist, and I have recently discovered I like making jewelry! I really just love doing ANYTHING CRAFTY! I just don’t have time to work!

I have bubbly, infectious personality, I always am quick to laugh and spread joy. My true health-felt desire is to leave everyone I come in contact with through out my day, just a little bit happier and smiling!

My husband, Roy, and I returned home to Texas, in March 2008, after living in Wisconsin for 3 1/2 years. Prior to Wisconsin, we lived in Fort Worth, Texas for 28 years. I am a Native Texas and Roy got here as fast as he could--the USAF brought him--and he wants to stay! We have been married 30 years & have one son, Eric, who is serving in the US Air Force. Eric and his wife, Lenise, and my two grand-dogs live in San Antonio, TX. We live in Temple, TX with Beagle Bailey and Amelia the Foxhound.

Classical is my favorite. Also jazz, country western, 50's, 60's, 70's,swing, big band,......I was a Music Major. I like just about all music except rap and that metaphysical stuff.

I am currently into loom knitting so....... I prefer bulky yarns. (ie: Lion Brand Yarn--Jiffy Thick & Quick (5oz) or Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (6oz).

I also make jewelry and if you can't figure out what to get for me --- a strand of beads will do! Oh and any jewelry supply.

LIKES: -Purple, red, jewel tones- Least Favorite---orange and brown -I like craft magazines and books. -I like good quality handcrafted items. -3X plain t-shirts--not my size but I like to sleep in really big t-shirts (please no writing, pictures, or slogans)--any color -Chocolate covered almonds--not M&M's brand -Movie passes -Restaurant Gift Cards -Gift cards: Michaels, Hobby Lobby, FireMountainGem.com, Amazon.com, -well made leather coin purses, wallets, wristlets, checkbook covers -toys for my dogs--Bailey & Amelia -crazy socks -craft kits -Lion Brand Yarn--Wool-Ease--Thick & Quick--any color

DISLIKES: Please don't send me: --STICKERS - I am a scrapbooker and have more stickers than I know what to do with. I give them away most of the time. --Dollar Store Items - I take care of this sort of things when I need them --I am not fond of Tea--I LOVE coffee! --Fruit flavored Chocolate - the only candy I like is chocolate covered almonds. Don't think me un-American-but I don't care for M&M's--just don't like the chocolate they use. --Cigarette smoke smelling items - I am VERY ALLERGIC to cigarette smoke and when exposed I usually end-up at the doctor's office for breathing treatments. PLEASE NO SMOKEY ITEMS--PLEASE!!!! --Skull anything. Yuck --Cutesy Kid Stuff - all my kids are grown and I have no grand-kids YET --Sit around things--I don't like much stuff sitting around (allergic to dust and that stuff collects dust). I find breathing is VERY beneficial!!! --I am not in to ATC's. They are cool but I am just not interested. --No Dotees or Kawaii please. Not sure what to do with them when I get them and will generally give them away. Again, they are cool and cute but just not for me.
