Hello from the island of Sardinia, Italy! My name is Elisabetta, I'm 50 years old and I live in Cagliari, on the southern coast of this beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.

I work as a customer service agent and I greatly enjoy my job.

I've been a vegetarian for 35 years now, I enjoy eating and cooking, and I'm always happy to try or invent new recipes, as long as there are no animals in them.

I love cats and I have 4: two older ladies, Mimmy and Kitty, a boy, Fusillo (he's the one with me in my profile photo), and a younger girl, Camilla. I'm your typical crazy cat lady and I'll talk about my cats all day, if you allow me to 😸

Living by the sea, I'll take any chance I get to go to the beach - I love summer, winter makes me sad.

I read a lot and also write a lot. I especially love horror and science fiction books, but I'll read anything I can put my hands on. Books are sort of everywhere around my house 😄 Some of my favourite authors are Stephen King, Isaac Asimov, Carl Sagan, Jeanette Winterson, Tullio Avoledo.

I enjoy knitting and have taken part in some yarn-bombing projects.

I'm mainly interested in swapping postcards - you can also find me on Postcrossing (isabetta) and I've just started an Instagram profle (postbetta).

My favourite postcards are your typical touristic postcards, with views from anywhere in the world - any place and type of view is fine as long as it shows me a corner of the world. It doesn't have to be a famous view, I actually love to learn things about less known places, and I believe you can find something interesting to see anywhere. I also collect postcards about space and space exploration.

I have been collecting and exchanging postcards since I was a child and the simple joy of writing and mailing a postcard, and getting a postcard in my mailbox, has never left me since.

I don't really like postcards sent in an envelope - a postcard has to show the sign of her travel, have stamps, postmarks and something nice written on. The travel can be rough, but this just means the story behind the postcard is more interesting 😊
