i am married to a wonderful, supportive and patient man, todd (he puts up with my art that he "just doesn't get") & currently live in south west michigan. i have a beautiful daughter, 23, who continues to make me proud each day...

my favorite color is black. red is second. i love rummage sales, thrift stores, dirt roads,cemeteries (this is where i get many of my favorite photos), junk week walking and exploring, especially on any of our wonderful great lake beaches! spring is my favorite time of year... i do not function well in the snow. or the cold. (i know. i am in the wrong state!)

i was born in el paso texas, ALMOST in juarez, mexico & this is probably why i have always been attracted to the folk art of mexico. frida is my favorite artist. man ray is second.

exploring abandonded buildings is something i will do until i can no longer freely move about.i take my cameras everywhere & am not afraid to use them. 35mm is still my camera & film of choice. 120 film & (toy/lomo) is second.

so, i just enjoy life more than i hate it, i love to create and as my man bob dylan sez..."some people feel the rain. others just get wet...." ...and i love feeling the rain.

i love bob dylan. ...but i listen to other artists, too. green day, old school jazz, metallica, lucinda williams, 80's, funk, soul, johnny cash, blues...the downshift band, & johnny headband.

alternative black & white photography. (lomo, etc) hand cut collage, inchies (altho i am just in the experimental stages!) abstract art, mixed media, ANYTHING abstract, alternative, mixed media, junque art etc... love to dumpster dive, collect things...stuff...whatever!! i enjoy journaling & writing poetry & non poetry and sometimes incorporating into my art.

not a big fan... but when i do watch: IFC, TCM, antique road show, i am also a fan of johnny knoxville.

not a fan of 'haters!' no place in my heart or life for prejudice. girlie stuff is not my style.... i don't like bath bubbles, perfumes & that sort of thing. not that i go around smelling funky or anything...i am just really, really picky and true to my faves!

i am a tomboy at heart. i love being outdoors. don't have the energy i used too, but still like to camp when the opportunity presents itself. i have a weird & dark sense of humor.

i would much rather receive something you create then you spend $$ on! postcards make me smile & ok, they aren't that expensive! i love to collect them. i am quirky, like i've mentioned above...so, i am easy... have fun creating & like my favorite artist frida kahlo said..."i drank down my pain, but the damn pain learned how to swim, and now i am overwhelmed by this decent and good behavior."
