I like a variety of music but listen mostly to country because that is what others around me like. I listen to classical when alone or in the car. Movie tracks are also among my favorites.

I retired in 2010 and I am loving it. I was a sales tax specialist within a large property management company and had a deadline to meet every month. I do not miss that pressure. I do miss my co-workers who had become my work family. I have since moved from the county that I worked in for so long and don't get to go back as often as I would like. I graduated from college at the age of 62 with an Associates of Science degree. (Graphic Design was my major). I have five children and ten grandchildren which keep me on my toes most of the time.

I am an avid reader. I have so many "favorite" authors, I could not list them all here..(you would not want me to either..lol) but Nora Roberts, James Patterson, Linda Howard, and Catherine Coulter are a few. Love drama, action, murder and mayhem, and romance. If that is all rolled up into one novel, I am really happy!!!

Time watching movies have decreased lately because I am too busy "swapping" postcards and other cards. Also with my reading, crafting, and grandchildren, the movies have rather fell to the wayside, but the same goes for a movie as for a book... One of my favorite actors is Mel Gibson (even if he has been a bad boy recently).

I bought a TV recently so I could watch "DANCING WITH THE STARS". That is about the extent of my watching... with the exception of CASTLE and BODY OF EVIDENCE, which both come on after DWTS so I generally watch parts of those shows as well....

I have been sewing most of my adult life. With five children to raise, you cut cost where you could. I crochet, cross-stitch, big into card making and scrap-booking. I am also a avid photographer as well, which helps with the scrap-booking.

According to my wardrobe, my favorite color is blue, according to my house it is Sage and Gold. I love brilliant colors as well as pastels so I think I like them all used in different ways... I think my least favorite would have to be burnt orange but used in the right way it could be beautiful too, so I guess I have been no help at all in choosing my color. I have been informed that there are not enough likes on my profile... I will try to correct that. I love vintage ( I think I must have been Scarlett O'Hara's neighbor). I enjoy whimsical items. I have learned to love zentangle's. Most any type of embellishments are good also. I decorate most all of my outgoing mail (even the bills) so stickers are good too. Small trinkets that could be put on ATC's would be wonderful. Will add more as they come to mind....

[And just in case your doing a profile based swap, I adore butterflies and baby animals. I also have found a new love, zentangle's. Most anything "cutesy".

For swap dislikes it would have to be horror stuff, zombies, witches and the like. Nothing that could be called evil.]

My dislikes are easier: RUDENESS, HATEFULNESS, and any type of UNKINDNESS. but since you would have a hard time putting those things on a card or in a package I think you could send just about any thing to me and I would enjoy getting it. I am just an old simple country lady who enjoys life.

This is one of the reasons I stopped participating in swaps in 2012, non compliance with the swaps. It is not fair to any of us that truly enjoy these swaps. I decided this time I would only join ten swaps and not join any more until all ten had been completed on both sides. Most of them have been completed but a few remain...they are: none as of 4-5-14

hi Swappers, I am going in hospital on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 for another Carotid Artery surgery. Hopefully, this will be my last surgery for awhile!! (like forever I hope. I am tired of being cut on!!) I am not sure how long I will be under the weather so to speak, so I am not signing up for swaps right now. I don't want to miss one because I am not feeling well. I will be back soon, so until then HAPPY SWAPPING!!!
