My name is Samantha, I am 31 and have a wonderful husband. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs, all named after baseball, (Chicago Cubs). We are renting our first house and hope to buy it when I am working again. I am a journalist (out of work at the moment) by trade and went to grad school in London, UK. I got married in Jamaica in April of 07 and since then have fallen for brighter colors than I previously liked, and also love any colors that are reminiscent of water or the ocean.

I am a knitter, spinner and dyer. I am self-taught in all of the above. I have an ashford wheel which I love but am considering buying a sister for. I have just really gotten into the spinning lately, and love trying new fibers, so far I have pretty much stuck to Merino, Corriedale and BFL but am anxious to try some others soon.

Aside from my fiber-related hobbies I have a poor excuse for a scrap book and would consider myself an amature photographer.

I am a total TV Junkie- I love everything, even stuff I know is bad- From Survivor to Big Brother to CSI to Heros, Prison Break, All My Children to the Peoples Court.

And then there's the cable channels... Dexter, The Tudors, Weeds, Big Love, I could go on...

Love Clerks, Fear of a Black Hat, the new Batman movies, X-Men... boy I sound like a total dork... I also love scary movies, and thrillers. Just saw Untraceable and thought that was pretty good.
