I'm married and we just had our first child Feb 4, 2009. I'm new to swap-bot, but I plan to participate fully in any swaps I sign up for. I'm just now back at work from maternity leave so if I am slow for swaps I apologize, I will get them out though. Trying not to sign up for too much at one time so as not to be slow!

We have a dog too who was our first "child"! I love dogs but dislike cats. (I'm allergic to cats!) I am such a dog lover, I make dog biscuits from scratch sometimes for my dog and my co-workers' dogs. I love to bake and cook for people too! I love checking out new recipes, especially fast & easy to make recipes.

I'm addicted to coffee, I admit it! Starbucks is my other best friend! MMMMM....

I love bright colors but I also love earth tones. Orange is my favorite color but green is a close second. I like Celtic knot designs and things that relate to Celtic/Scottish heritage. I like traditional styles and patterns but not much into floral patterns. I do like some contemporary designs.

I'm a happy-go-lucky gal who is almost always smiling! I love silliness and wit. Humor is a big part of me and my life.

I have a TiVo and it is awesome. I have "season passes" to The Office (so funny!), CSI (the original, Las Vegas), Life on Mars, Life, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Heroes, and my guilty pleasure, American Idol. Just downgraded our cable...Food network and HGTV I will miss you!!!!

I love crafts of all kinds but I'm really into beading & jewelry making right now, as well as paper crafting. I started a shop on Etsy.com to sell my jewelry but when I got pregnant I had no energy so I stopped working at it but I hope to pick it back up again soon. I don't scrapbook much but I probably should! I use a lot of scrapbooking papers and supplies though to make cards, gift tags, gifts, and decorative items.

I sew and do some quilting. Love FABRIC. I made all of the window treatments in my home except in one room. Those were store bought but I hemmed them with my trusty sewing machine!

I love watching movies and it is hard to pick favorites. I could never pick just one, even from each category. I think comedies are my fave category, but I enjoy action, sci-fi, fantasy, suspense/mystery, old musicals, anything by John Hughes, old b&w classics (esp. movies w/ Cary Grant). I enjoy some (but not all) dramas, chick flicks/ love stories, westerns, and horror as well.
Some of my favorites include... Tommy Boy, Dumb & Dumber, Airplane, Team America World Police, Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, (basically anything by Mel Brooks), The Sweetest Thing, Anchorman, Planes Trains & Automobiles, "comic book" movies (X-men, Spiderman, Blade, Batman Begins & The Dark Knight...), Lord of the Rings trilogy, Harry Potter series, Star Trek movies, Stargate, Unforgiven, Tombstone, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Ocean's 11 and 13 (the second one was kinda lame!), Snatch, the Score, Confidence, Thomas Crown Affair, The Usual Suspects (I love movies with a plot twist!), the Italian Job, the Lethal Weapon series, The Bourne Identity, Hunt for Red October, Crimson Tide, The Mask of Zorro, Indiana Jones, Best Little Whorehouse in TX, My Fair Lady, Auntie Mame, 9 to 5, Monsters Inc, Operation Petticoat, Arsenic & Old Lace, Charade, Bringing up Baby, Elf, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation... and many more.

Holy Bible (don't have time for much reading these days, aside from my Bible study), the Harry Potter book series, books by author Iris Johansen, recipe books, child rearing info, books to read to my son (grew up with Dr. Seuss and I love those stories)... My sister just gave me somebooks and I am reading "Nerds Like it Hot" a little at a time. I'll probably finish in the next year or so!

Recipes: No curry. Don't like really elaborate recipes with either a ton of steps or really expensive/ obscure ingredients. I like to try new things but I'm on a budget and don't have the time anymore to spend all day cooking one meal (Holidays aside). No one in my household is allergic to any foods, thankfully. I love pumpkin and cinnamon, eat a lot of chicken and pork, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and just about every vegetable.

Postcards: Scenic pc's, cute or funny pictures, handmade, unique in some way would be my fave. I try to write a personal message in all my correspondence but don't always have the time.

Crafts: Jewelry- yes, even though I have a baby I do wear dangly earrings. (I'm reckless, I know!) I have small wrists so most bracelets are really big on me and fall off.
Scrapboking/paper crafts- I like papers by K & company, DCWV, Stampin' up!, Making Memories, etc. I prefer graphic designs and textures to characters like Disney characters.
