I just sent my husband off to the Gulf this morning (06 OCT 08)... Please keep him and his unit (and all of the other troops deployed in support of OIF and OEF) in your thoughts and prayers.

I am a wife and mother, and we are a happy Army family! All of us are rather crafty, and we have the messy craft room to show for it! We have a dog- German Shep/Lab mix, and her name is Chianti. She's a pretty awesome dog!

I can't really say that I have one particular style- for my home, I enjoy prim decor, and Americana type of stuff. Personal style is a bit chaotic and messy! LOL! I like to mix it all up, and have no qualms about how I look.

I listen to all sorts of music (see below for favorite bands). I cannot stand to sit in silence, so I have the radio or my MP3 player going all day and night. Music is life for me. It's pretty amazing to see my daughter love music as much as I do. I did, after all, put headphones on my tummy while I was pregnant :)

I'm allergic to latex (can wear socks and undies and stuff, just latex gloves seem to be the most troublesome) and I'm allergic to avocados. :( My daughter is allergic to peanuts. My husband is allergic to stupidity! LOL! Joking ;)

I used to be in a paranormal society when I lived in Tacoma, WA. The paranormal has always been something that I've taken an interest in, so being able to go out with the group and do expeditions was amazing!

For any packages for my daughter

Molly is 4, and she's a tomboy! She likes her girly colors (pink and purple) and likes nail polish, but enjoys digging in the dirt, and playing with trucks! She likes Dora and Diego, Curious George, The Veggie Tales, the Care Bears, Hello Kitty, and the Transformers. She loves painting, really likes making Valentine's year round (LOL), and loves learning!

In general, anything educational is great! She enjoys doing connect the dots, mazes, and has taken to learning Spanish!

She doesn't have her ears pierced, so earrings wouldn't really be too good for her. She does love cute necklaces and girly rings :)

1. Socks- not plain white. I have a goal to wear only brightly colored socks for the rest of my life! LOL!
2. Mixed CD's- I'm not too big on thrasher/screamo type of music, but do enjoy a good heavy metal ballad. I like pretty much all kinds of music, and am always open to learning about new bands!
3. Anything No Doubt related- even down to magazine clippings. I'm a HUGE ND fan, and am always searching for pics, articles, etc...
4. Samples- I put together boxes for troops that are deployed to the Middle East (my DH will be one of them soon)and it's nice to be able to get all sorts of different samples to use as fillers.
5. Ephemera- I've just discovered the happiness that making ACEO's can bring, and need to buff up my epherema supply!
6. Felt- I love it. Can't get enough of it!
7. Broken jewelry.
8. Anything houndstooth!
9. Acrylic paints- Apple Barrel brand, any color. I LOVE painting anything I can get my hands on, and these paints are cheap and great to use!
10. Jamaica anything- from postcards, to stickers, to music...
11. Pin up girls- anything :)
12. Dum Dums- these would be for my daughter. She loves to get mail!
13. Anything from Perpetual Kid or Think Geek
14. Crafty books, except for quilting. I'm still too nervous to try that!
15. unwanted cassettes- the more cheesy, the better
16. Anything with the Virgin Mary on it
17. Anything with cherries.
18. Rooster kitchen goods
19. Coupons (for real, since I use them religiously)
20. Vanna's Choice yarn
21. pens and pencils- we always seem to lose them, so it's nice to have a fresh supply

Not too many to list out, but...

1. propoganda for feminism, veganism, pro-choice, etc... Not my cup of tea.
2. Zines. I just don't get them.
3. Anything overly smokey. If you smoke, that's ok, but I will let the goods you send me sit out overnight in the garage to air out.
4. Anything pro-Democrat.
5. Indie music, movies, etc...
6. Coffee- ok, I DO like it, but it gives me horrid heartburn, so I avoid it as much as possible!
7. earrings... I have my ears pierced, but have developed an allergy to pretty much every metal but niobium.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me something, whether it be from swaps or from forum tags! You all are so wonderful, and I consider myself very lucky to have come across this site!
