I am married with three grown sons, two cats and a black lab. I've lived in Nashville, Tennessee for two years. Previously I lived my whole like in Memphis, Tennessee. I enjoy quilting, photography and furniture refinishing. My fabric preference is mostly modern; anything Tula Pink especially. Some of my favorite lines are Cotton and Steel, Zen Chic, French General and Liberty. All of my block in the Farmers's Wife QAL are all Liberty prints. I'm not a fan of batiks...I've never even bought them. I buy the majority of my fabric online from Hawthorne Threads and Fat Quarter Shop and use only Aurifil thread. My sewing machine is a Bernina 350PE and I've had it about a year and a half and I'm already drooling over the 790 model.

I love Downton Abbey! Can't wait for the new season. Also, The Americans,House of Cards, The Last Ship and Blacklist...love James Spader. I enjoy watching Big Bang Theory reruns.

Truman Capote is my favorite writer, so I love Breakfast at Tiffany's. To Kill A Mocking Bird and the new Harper Lee book Go Set a Watchman. I just finished John Grisham's Skipping Christmas (again) and I'm currently reading A Common Struggle by Patrick J. Kennedy.

Anything Alfred Hitchcock, Gone With The Wind, James Bond movies with Daniel Craig, I like lots if types of movies. I love Tennessee Williams...Streetcar Named Desire, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

I've only been quilting 1-1/2 years and I love it. My most challenging quilt so far was Elizabeth Hartman's Preppy the Whale. I used the True Colors collection by Tula Pink. I'm very proud of it. I like to sew home dec items, purses and accessories. I just finished a tree skirt using French General's Joyeux Noel. I also enjoy photography, especially black and white. I just got my first serious digital camera, a Sony A6000. I love to paint furniture using Annie Sloan Chalk paint. The desk, bookcase and fabric cabinet in my sewing room were all painted with Annie Sloan. I just started to learn how to knit. So far I've made a hat and scarf and I'm working on a shawl.

I'm old school....anything from the 80's. I also enjoy John Mayer, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5. Can't forget Dave Matthews...he's at to top of favs!

I've enjoyed participating in the Farmer's Wife QAL. All of my blocks are made from Liberty prints. I absolutely love them. I don't have a favorite block yet. I am a few weeks behind, but I'll catch up in a few weeks; I'm working on a quilt for my sons for Christmas. This is my first Swapbot, so I'm not sure what I should make. I would love suggestions or perhaps we could make the same thing.
