Hi, swappers. I love swapping ATCs. I can spend all my time creating these little beauties and I always wait by the mail box to see if I'll receive any treasures that day.
I very much appreciate receiving cards that have been created with care. Cards with lots of background layers and elements that work together to tell the story of the card are my favorites. My favorite medium, collage, fits right in with this. I like to try new styles and techniques, too.
My ATC collection is beginning to border on HUGE, but there's always room for ONE MORE CARD! I wish I had a way to display all of them together as one big installation. It would be most impressive.
Besides making atcs, I also like quilting, making wall hangings instead of bed quilts, but I'm running out of room on my walls! To me, these pieces add such a warm, cozy feel to a room. Thus I keep on making them as I come across patterns I just can't pass up.
I'm always happy to accept 5" charm squares if you have any you want to pass along.
Greens and blues are my favorite colors, but I like all colors. Themes I especially like are cottages/little houses, birds, teapots and teacup, trees, vintage and shabby chic, mushroom houses, fairy doors, and vintage trailers. I love vintage trailers.
I live in the great Pacific Northwest and love being close to mountains and trees on one side and cliffs and the sea on the other. This is a beautiful part of the country and driving along the coast highway on the way to the coast redwoods in northern California is one of the most beautiful trips one can make.
That said, I like traveling to other parts of the country, also. I love my van which I've made into a mini rv -- very cozy for the cat and the dog and me. The desert southwest, the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina, the Atlantic coast, the bayous of Louisianna, rugged Maine--my list of favorite places could go on and on.
I don't have many themes I dislike, but I'm not a big fan of skulls, skeletons, cartoon characters, anime, and horror. Mostly anything that shows effort and creativity will be well received. I don't especially like words and quotes on my cards, because I think the picture should convey the meaning, but I'm open to a well designed card no matter what is on it.
I always rate immediately after a card is received and I ALWAYS, always send my cards out on time, usually the first day that partners are assigned.
