  • I graduated from Miami University in Oxford Ohio

  • I taught Elementary Art my first two years out of school and LOVED it!! ((Sadly, art is cut from schools today))

  • I now am a design coordinator for a home builder-- it is so much fun!

  • I have been married for two years to who I refer to as My Dreamy Landscape Man-->>we are expecting our first in May 2014!!!

  • My other half designs and builds beautiful hardscapes...its artsy =)

  • I have a 2 year old who keeps me more than busy!

  • I love making lists

Favorite Music

I enjoy country, and something with a beat that I can workout too =)

Favorite Movies

I could watch Pitch Perfect Everyday...Jesse in the film has captured my heart!

Favorite Television

Not a big television fan, but who can pass up the Price is Right?!!

Where I have been in mail art

I have been swapping mailart since my art teacher introduced me in 2006. My colleciton of artists trading cards is incredibly amazing and full of talent!! I love to use it for inspiration and show it off the the world!

Through mail art I have also been involved in altered books, decos, zines, postcards, artsy challenges...the list goes on and on!

What I like

I really love many different forms of art. I truly love art made from raw materials. I am most impressed when someone trys something even if it is out of their comfort zone!

My personal favorite--is sidewalk chalk. In the warm hours of the year you will always find me outside sidewalk chalkin' up a masterpeice! I am no Kurt Wenner--but I give it a go.

Layers & texture = awesome in my books! Some of my other favorite art and techniques to work with and see include

Read, read read now as you might not have much leisure time to sit and read from this summer for a while. Take the "What to expect when..." series with a grain of salt - they scared most of my friends as much or not more than any benefit they got from reading!
