I have an east coast mind with a west coast heart. I lived in NJ and NY for most of my life, but decided that I needed a slower change of pace, new scenery and warmer weather. In 2011, I moved to Portland, OR with my boyfriend, one suitcase and our cat as my carry-on. After self-medicating with copious amounts of Vitamin D and a sun lamp, I sadly came to the conclusion that I was unfit for 9 months of rain despite how perfect the other 3 months might be. I finally landed in my current home of San Jose, CA last July where I am much happier now.

My interests include going to music shows, hiking (being surrounded by nature in general), reading books, writing, ephemera, mid-century modern design, connecting with people through snail mail/mail art, making friends with every cat I encounter, and going on adventures.

With an appreciation for the DIY culture and coming from a background in art, I prefer mail that is handmade (unless the swap says store bought). Of course, this is not a requirement but postcards with thoughtful notes are very much appreciated. Brownie points for anything with cats. (Did I mention how much I LOVE cats?)
