Hello! I'm Sarah. I'm 24, I live in Virginia, I work in a museum, and I love geeky things, crafty things, and getting things in the mail.

I work. I work a lot. It's more like fun than work though! In my free time, I like doing random things Like baking cookies (or inventing new recipes). Or watching tv and laughing with my friends. Or deconstructing thrift-store sweaters for yarn to make into new things!

Yarn is my one true love, I swear. I love love -love- yarn. Any yarn, all yarn! My favouritest yarn in the whole wide world is anything handspun, single ply, thick-and-thin. But I'm happy with plain ol' Lion Brand cheapie stuff too. (The only yarn I don't love is that made of angora, which makes me sneeze!)

If the question is 'more yarn', 'more wine', or 'more coffee', it's rare that the answer will be "no", even when it should be!

I would have pink hair if it wasn't for my awesome job. (Pink hair doesn't quite go with the 18th century style.) When I was a little kid, I always wanted to be an 80s goth when I grew up - neglecting to realise that the 80s would be long over by the time I grew up. I'm glad some fashion elements from that era are coming back!

I hate winter. It makes me insomniac. However, I get a lot of crocheting done when I can't sleep. I crochet like the wind. (That is...sometimes fast and sometimes intermittent and sometimes not at all.) I love spring, even if the changing of the seasons makes me restless.

My favourite place in the world is Niagara Falls. I used to live there. I miss it terribly. I miss the nuclear bright pink sunsets, the industrial landscapes, the landfill hills, the powerlines, going across the border for good candy, people that talk with Toronto accents. (What I don't miss is the snow.)

I'm a geek. A battlestar galactica watching dungeons and dragons playing occasionally even comic book reading geek. I'm the kind of geek that girls apparently aren't supposed to be, but somehow I manage.

I like movies where things blow up far better than ones where people fall in love and live happily ever after.

...I'm writing a novel here, so I think I'll stop. :/
