About Me

I like to read, I like to play games. I am just learning to sew and teaching myself. I just had my first baby boy who is now 16 months. I bike (even with my baby now) and I love to swim. DDR...

I like restoring victorian furniture, and exploritory gardening, meaning exotic plants that I've not tried yet..

My favorite colors are shades of pink, greens, blues... I don't like fushia and that yellowy "spring green." On clothes, otherwise I don't mind them.

I have super sensitive skin and allergic to many fragrences so I request that no one sends any lotions or face creams or fragrances and cosmetics. Letting it be known so one doesn't waste the money and time and I will try to not participate in swaps that involve featuring these items as a swap. Unelss it is something for sensitive skin. (and even then those make me break out too.) It sucks because I love scents, and I can't use them on me. But I can have scents in other forms like candels and sachets and inscents. I love lavander and tea tree and mint.

I like chrocet and knitted things and toys, but I can not knit or chrocet. I tried to learn, I even bought a loom and a knitting machine and just couldn't get it right! I know these types of items are hard to make and time consumming.

I like charms and felt and fabric. I do patchwork and scrap projects. I loooooove ribbons of all sorts. I am a fabric remnaint bin diving fiend!

I love crafting with felt, making animals, pins, appliques, everything with it. I sometimes get to order the wool felt online b/c it isn't accessible where I live, And would be delighted to score some of the real things, but senthetics are okay too.

I like jewlery that has shells and sea themed.

I have a good sense of humor and imagination and sometimes enjoy silly trinkets and other odds and ends.

I like anime, but not cartoons like spongebob or spiderman, or barbie I don't like those kinds of prints. I do like hello kitty characters though, and similar characters.

I like non-clothing patterns, tutorials, how-to-make-it-your-self kits. And I really love hand made diy kits. (I always buy everything but the things I need to make something when I go into craft stores, so when someone makes me a kit of stuff prepared! Yippie Skippie. I even love kits for tutorials that already exist like the fabric cut for a tissue holder, felt animals, stuff like that, etc.)

I like pretty papers and exotic papers, stickers, buttons and ribbons.

I have the oldest house on my street, and possibly the second oldest in my community. I am sort of getting into that country cottage "shabby chic" look. Although I am more of a Snobby English Luxe designer. (with leathers, woods, greens, books, and antiques. Eating at a Bennigan's/steak n ale is similar to walking into my home.)

I loooove German(my heritage) and Italian food.
I like to try new foods, like Indian, mexican, and other ethnic foods. I don't like beans though, and probably won't eat a bug.
I am a nearly a chocolate expert.(the daily 3finger between knuckle wide rule, keeps me in check) I love gummy bears esp Haribo Kind. I love caramel candies, caramel chocolates, caramel in general.

I am a neat freak, everything has a place. And everything is sanitary. I've even walked out on resturants, epecially Subway and Quiznos because they don't use their gloves properly, by not changing them between sandwiches and not changing them to touch the mirowave and other tools. Plus they often use a rag to clean the counters and other surfaces and then use it(the same rag!!!!) to clean the knife they use to cut sandwiches.. they even keep the same gloves on after cleaning then dip their hand into the food afterwards!!! That type of stuff creeps me out! I hate seeing workers touch their cell phones and Ipods before serving or touching my food. Eww how gross is that! I am horrible with grammer punctuation and spelling!

I enjoy exercise of all sorts:Dancing, thai boxing, martial arts, running, walking, swimming. I like math, physics, history. I am active in political subjects. member of or support peta, National women's organizaion, ACLU, St. Jude's, ASPCA, and many other organizations to help better the community, environment, and equality of life and rights..

I try not to be picky. I am very open minded. I am good at comprehension and understanding and reasoning and seeing things from more than one angle. I am often judged as a defender for all by trying to understand one's viewpoint. I guess that means I am good mediator.

I miss living in England. My heart aches when it is spring time and summer when everything is in bloom and the fields are full of those yellow flowers and lavander. I miss battenberg and penguins from TESCO. I don't miss roundabouts as there is one a few miles away from me and a double one downtown!
after reading many different profiles and rating around here on what to expect. I've noticed a trend that some more experienced swappers and crafters tend to scrutinize the more less experienced harshly on what they've sent compaired to what they've recieved. I am just starting many different areas of crafting and I think that it would be enjoyable to share that along with fellow swappers. I may not have any of my art in galleries or have had my ego boosted up though flickr pools, so I really can't compair my level of skill to others that are experienced and I will try to never feel "bummed out" or "cheated" if I recieve something that does not meet or exceed my skill level. Infact, if you ever recieve something from me that you are "not satisfied with," as I try to put my hard work into every craft that I do...as an option please send back the swap and I will send you the minimun amount of what the swap was worth to spend, plus any other shipping costs that may have been accrued. I don't want to leave anyone unhappy and have seen the bantering on ratings that made me want to offer this type of alternative. Now I don't want people to take advantage of me either for this offering. If you are truely and generally unsatisfied with what I send, please take me up on it.
