Hello!

I'm finally back after stepping away for quite some time. I've been focusing my creativity on other projects these past couple years, but missed swapping, so... I'm back!

Here is a short bio that my sister wrote about me when she was drunk that I think describes me to a T:

"Her favorite movie is The Princess Diaries and her favorite show is Gilmore Girls and her favorite books are Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and any Nicholas Sparks book. I don't know why, but I think these random things just really tell you who she is and if I then said she was a preschool teaching, cat fostering, pen pal having, poetry writing 29 year old, you would not be surprised."

I enjoy just about anything! I was raised on Bluegrass, but in my adulthood, I'm more drawn to indie-folk music. My most favorite musician (and biggest crush) is Gregory Alan Isakov. The poetic lyrics, the voice, the man himself... perfection.

Novo Amor, Henry Jamison, and Peter Bradley Adams also bring me lots of joy!

I basically lived and breathed books growing up, and was picked on for always walking home from school with my face in a book (don't know how I made it home alive!) And now I have a degree in English with a concentration on Literature... so I guess you could say I've read quite a few books in my lifetime so far!

My most recent favorites are Weyword by Emilia Hart, any of Glendy Vanderah's books, Where the Crawdads Sing, and the entire ACOTAR series.

Oh, and Harry Potter, of course! I am a proud Hufflepuff!

The Outdoors: I've been going camping since before I could talk, and I practically grew up in the Adirondack Mountains. If it's nature-themed, I'll love it!

Butterflies/Bugs in General: Bugs have been a weird obsession of mine my entire life. I guess it comes along with growing up outdoors? Butterflies are my favorite, though. Particularly Monarch butterflies. Every August I love to collect their caterpillars and raise them into butterflies to send off to Mexico!

Plants: Just call me the crazy plant lady! My mother had the most beautiful gardens growing up, and I guess I have inherited her green thumb, because I am so obsessed with gardening! I guess it kind of goes along with nature stuff? But I also love, love, love anything with botanical prints on it.

Cats! I am a crazy cat lady. I have three of my own (Taz, Mia, and Alice) and I have an entire room dedicated to fostering cats/kittens! I've been fostering for four years. :)

Poetry: I have always been into poetry/creative writing, and after getting my BA in English, my passion has only grown stronger! I love Mary Oliver and Kylie Johnson (if you haven't heard of Kylie, look her up!)

I am not a religious person, so please don't send me anything religious. It's just not for me. I consider myself more of a spiritual person. :)

And finally, PLEASE don't send any children's/teacher reward stickers. I'm a teacher, so I usually come home with a handful of them stuck to the bottom of my shoes each day!

I would say my style is very cottage-like! Woodland creatures, bugs, plants, etc. are the way to my heart!

I love neutral, earthy colors. Dried flowers, botanical prints, old, worn down things... those make me happy! I also love anything with a witchy feel to it!
