I was born and raised in New Orleans, and I lived in several places along the Gulf Coast before I finally settled in Mobile, Alabama. I live here with my husband, Rascal the Italian Greyhound and Jack the Golden Retriever.

I love to cook and often have friends over to play games, to celebrate, to gather around the table and eat. I tend to cook things with Cajun flair but I LOVE trying new things, and I am fascinated by things you can only get in certain regions. (Like my beloved Tony Chachere's seasonings.)

I love the movies and go almost every Friday. I watch everything from Hollywood blockbusters to odd foreign films. All I need is a good plot and I'm captivated.

I enjoy traveling but don't get to do it enough however ever July you can find me in San Diego for Comic Con!

I love to read! The Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, the Looking Glass Wars, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Mortal Instrument Series. Yes, I read and enjoyed Twilight but I don't live and die by Twilight

I love taking pictures and recently have moved from paper scrapbooking to digital scrapbooking.

I've recently started dabbling in decoupage, so I love beautiful paper and have been hording it!

I recently discovered that I really enjoy drinking tea, particularly Chai tea. I tend to prefer darker, stronger flavored teas to light teas.

I love playing all kinds of games - card games, board games, computer games, games on my iPhone.

My dogs are spoiled rotten and I work hard to keep them that way! LOL! I also love most things that are breed related.

I love trying new recipes. One of my favorite things about visiting new places is trying "local" food - I think that's because I grew up in New Orleans where the food is rather unique.

I love flowers - my favorites are Pansies and Lilly of the Valley, but one of the reasons I love where I live is because I love the riot of color the azaleas make in the spring.

I love rich deep colors, hunter green, ruby red not so much into neon hues.

I love chocolate and ginger. I love to try new and different things.

I am a Christian but I respect and enjoying learning about other religions. I'm also an American muddle of German and Irish heritage but I love to learn about other cultures too!

I am highly allergic to cats, sadly I really like them and they seem to like me but I have to be super careful around them.

I am also very sensitive to things that are heavily perfumed. I use fragrance free laundry detergents, make up, lotions, etc. reactions to perfume for me can range from a headache to a break out. (If it's some sort of lotion I get on my skin.)

I'm not really into anything super girly or super religious.

On a silly note, I like nuts and I like candy but I don't like nuts in candy or baked goods - I don't know why. (I think it's a texture issue.)
