I am 25 years old. I am working on my third year of marriage. My husband is amazing and we are complete opposites. I am and come from an artsy fartsy family, he is all about sports. I am step mom to three amazing children from him. They complete me and make me so happy.

My oldest is 13 and is growing into a very fine young man. He will do just fine as long as the hormones don't finish him off first. He plays baseball, basketball and runs cross country.

My middle and only girl is 12 and she is a force to be reckoned with. She is ridiculously loyal and will fight for who she loves. She loves cheerleading and volleyball. She hates cross country but is doing it with her brother.

My youngest little man is 9. He is super friendly and sensitive to others feelings. He wrestles, plays football and does jui jitsu. He is closest to me and loves snuggles.

I love to read. Fiction, some science fiction and religious fiction as well. I also read all the instructions for everything. I am not a hands on learner like many others and prefer to read about how to do something. I love to read Amish fiction and Harry potter books! Wierd combo.

My mom taught me how to knit when I was nine. However I taught myself to crochet at 19 and I love to crochet. I have not knit since! I attend a local crochet group where we sit, chat and stitch away. I love it! I recently convinced my mom to join me and bring her knitting. I also make jewelry, sew and do regular crafts with my kiddos. My kiddos were never really exposed to crafty stuff before I came around so I am trying to rectify that. Sometimes they embrace it, other times I drive them batty.

I love to Netflix binge. My favorite shows are gilmore girls, 7th heaven, scrubs, bones, SVU, monk and criminal minds. I am currently watching Orange is the New black.

I love getting mail! I enjoy swapping because I get surprises regularly in my mailbox. You know that blue clues song about mail? That plays in a loop in my head while I walk to the mailbox :)

I just recently got a she shed! It is holy wow awesome and I am so excited. It is getting all set up and will be my little hideaway. I am trying to put in a reading loft and also a little sitting area. My goal is to have a crazy crochet room.

My kids think that they will come in there to do their homework. I think this is funny. My space! Anyone else have a she shed? Any cute ideas? I would love a pen pal that also has a she shed.

If you want to get me anything for my she shed then please do! Cute little craft or yarn themed items would be so fun.

I taught myself how to crochet at the age of 19. I made a baby blanket in rainbow colored stripes. It was all single crochet. Very tedious. You can see how my tension improved over time on this piece. It's hilarious. I put a black border on it and still have it to this day. I recently taught myself Tunisian crochet and did a rainbow baby blanket again with a black border. It looks so much better than the other one. I just love the striking look of the rainbow and black contrast.

I would say that since then I have improved dramatically. Crochet is now my stress relief. I belong to a social crochet group in my area that meets several times a month. We have a ton of fun and it gets me out of the house. I am able to share something I love with other people that feel the same.
