About Me

I'm a native Texan who finds herself living in Northeast TN. My fiance' and I live on a horse farm in the mountains that is home to 22 horses and various other farm animals. I have been quilting for nearly 6 years now. I've found that it has become more of a relaxation tool than anything. I LOVE making quilts and projects, especially for new babies in my life!

Favorite Music

Since I was born and raised in Texas, of course I love country. But, not just any country.. Texas Country! If you aren't familiar with it, go on, Google it. I miss it, it's not something you can find here in TN. Nothing like good old dance hall music!

Favorite Crafts

I enjoy all crafts - minus knitting, never have had the patience. My love would have to be quilting and those projects that are quilt related. I enjoy browsing fabric websites as well as finding new shops when I go out of town. I find myself ordering fabric for no real reason but for the sole fact that I love it's design/color. I know that sooner or later it will be just what I need to finish a project. My philosophy is that a good quality fabric is probably more than you want to pay at first glance, but you know it's worth it.

I'm very big into Western themed projects and fabrics. I adore horses and and all the colors you think of when ranch/farm/western come to mind. *Barn Reds, Rust Browns, Wooded Greens, etc. I also love Primitive and Americana colors and projects.

While in college, I made quilted purses, bags and diaper bags to help pay for my expenses. Doesn't sound like much, but it was enjoyable and I made some pretty nice cash in the process.

I have many friends who tell me to sell my projects and what not online, my problem is pricing. I would rather create something new and give it away before asking someone to pay for it.

I'm in the process of creating a book/binder of every project I've done with the pattern and a picture so that i can always look back. This is a huge task!

Things I Enjoy

Fabric - mostly quilting quality Neat sewing projects, other than quilts Quilting Items- notions, patterns, magazines etc. Horse/Farm related Items Western related Items Healthy Recipes - WW Anything from TEXAS! Handmade Earings, Necklaces Headbands Country/Farm/Primitive Style

Things I'm Not So Fond Of

Most things Pink/Purple - Girly Asian, Nautical themed Items Modern/Art Deco
