I'm a college student majoring in Neurobiology (BRAINS :D) and Psychology, and am interested in a career doing clinical research to develop treatments for neurological disorders. I am definitely one of those 'science nerds', but hopefully I can convince you that scientists can be crafty too~ ;3

In my (somewhat limited) spare time though, I try and fit in as many hobbies as possible! I enjoy making various crafts (described below), cooking for my family and making bento, playing and listening to music, taking landscape photography, and playing video games (I love most JRPGs, the Pokemon series, visual novels, the Rune Factory series, the list goes on)~

I love sending snail mail and packages that will make people happy, so after some encouragement from a friend, I decided I ought to try out Swap-bot!

Here's an idea of some of the crafts I know how to make or am learning how to make, so you get a sense for what you might receive from me or what I like to receive. ;3

Digital art or watercolors: I mainly draw anime/manga style, but I also enjoy landscape watercolors.

Artist Trading Cards: I've never made one of these before, but I'd love to start! Most likely, I'd mainly incorporate watercolors and other paints or paper crafting.

Sculpey Clay: I've only ever really used Sculpey to make small charms and fake foods. XD

Plushies: I have been found to occasionally make cute little plushies out of leftover or upcycled materials.

Stationary/Bookbinding: I am a sucker for cute stationary sets! So sometimes I might take some cute packaging and upcycling it into a notebook.

Simple Origami/Papercrafts

Here's an idea of some things I like, in no particular order. I also like surprises though, so please don't feel obligated to follow these!

• Upcycled crafts! I'm very interested in learning how to live a more green lifestyle, and I think upcycling is a great way to do so.
• Natural items (using pressed flowers, leaves, etc.)
• Vintage style
• Lolita (gothic, sweet, and and elegant varieties)
• Steampunk
• Asian culture (particularly Japanese, Chinese, and Korean)
• ALL THINGS KAWAII~! I'll take just about anything cute, but some brands I like in particular include: Sanrio (Sugarbunnies, Tuxedo Sam, My Melody, Little Twin Stars)
  San-X (Korilakkuma, Rilakkuma, Nyanko, Mamegoma, Tarepanda, Sentimental Circus)
  Nyanpire
  Kapibara-san
• Mini-foods (food with faces) and miniatures
• Cute animals (cats, birds, bunnies, aquatic animals, etc.)
• Novelty science-related items (especially if related to neuroscience, psychology, or chemistry)
• Films by Miyazaki Hayao or Shinkai Makoto
• Tea! (green/matcha, flavored black teas, and milk tea are my favorites, but I'm pretty open to trying anything! Decaf preferred, but I will still drink caffeinated when needed.)
• Sweets of all kinds! (chocolates, cookies, candies, you name it... I'm not on a diet or anything so go all out XD)
• Scarfs~
• Stationary (letter sets, stickers, and the like.)
• Pins
• Cell phone straps

• Teal
• Blue (practically all shades)
• White
• Pastels (Particularly Green, Purple, and Pink)
• Earthy Greens and Browns

I play the piano, so I'm partial to anything with the piano. I prefer classical (opera, Romantic-era piano composers), new age piano, J-Pop (especially ballads, such as those by Otsuka Ai), J-Rock (Wakeshima Kanon), and C-Pop.
I don't like rap or country music, sorry...

• Occult or Goth (but things that are lightly Gothic or somewhat dark are fine)
• Western
• Overly Childish things (Disney, Diddl, Lisa Frank)
• Teacher or reward type stickers
• Also, I do not wear any cosmetics, and cannot wear earrings, so such items would be a bit lost on me... I'd definitely find a friend to gift them to though. ^-^
