Favorite Music
I love Rupa and the April Fishes, Over The Rhine, Van Morrison, Zap Mama, Amy Winehouse, Les Nubians, lots and lots of jazz and I love opera! Verdi is my favorite opera composer.
Favorite Crafts
I make artist/altered books, collages, journals, handmade envelopes and I love playing with paper. I am an artist/photographer by profession. Work P/T for a newspaper and freelance.
Likes
I love food postcards -- specialities of various places are interesting to me, e.g. Maine lobster or Pastrami from NYC...but am happy with any and all mail. I collect old recipe boxes and recipe cards and old letters, handwritten or typed. I prefer old stuff - letters, papers, maps, etc rather than new. I don't like "cute" stuff. Please, no candy.
Things I like
Recipes, old recipe cards, vintage photos and snapshots( especially bride & groom photos, class pix, first communion pix), old flyers and paper, old letters and envelopes, pages from old books, handmade envelopes, cancelled stamps, notebooks, old maps, old Baedeker guides (especially France, Japan or Italy), postcards with local foods or recipes, old playing cards or game cards, anything French (especially old).......

Yep, we really love the same 'Over the Rhine'. They were in The Netherlands at Flevo-festival (a christian music-festival ) many years ago and there we bought an album. I was really surprised to read you love this band to because in The Netherlands they are almost unknown.

How special to meet another 'Over the Rine'- lover on the internet. I lover their music so much. Mail-art is one of the crafts I don't know. I think i need to get informed on the internet te learn more about it. New crafts are always triggering me to try.
