Hi! I am a 40 year old married mother of two boys, aged 15 and 19. I love to read, craft, and work in my garden. I found the link to Swap-bot on one of my favorite crafter's blogs and thought that it would be fun to participate. I am a first grade teacher, so I get to indulge my creative side daily. My class loves to do art projects. I have a feeling that a few dotee dolls might find their way into the classroom!

In the classroom, I will put on a Josh Groban CD, or various classical music CDs. My students enjoy the "soft" music, and it seems to calm them down on busy days. They even request the music to be turned on when they engage in independent activities. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy NickelBack, Matchbox 20, Three Doors Down, Hinder, Third Eye Blind, Allison Kraus and Rascal Flats. I know, my taste in music is a little eclectic, but I'm an eclectic kind of gal!

I love, love, love to read. I read all the time. I enjoy historical fiction, murder mysteries, and chick lit, especially Brit chick lit! I think I have read everything that Michael Crichton, James Patterson (except the mushy books), Patricia Cornwell, and Catherine Coulter have ever written. I could go on and on with other authors, but I need to turn this in before they drop me from the swap I signed up for!

My favorite movies are: Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, The Holiday, Stepmom, Love Actually, and just about any movie with Owen Wilson.

I adore Weeds, Californication, Coupling, Torchwood, Chef Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, and the Planet Earth series.

I love love love pretty paper, especially in color combinations of pink and brown or light blue and brown. I love interesting prints. I love autumn colors, and deep, rich jewel tones. I also enjoy working with fabric. I really like pretty ribbons, buttons, and embellishmetns. Obviously I enjoy kid crafts as well.
