Hello!

My name is Laura and I am 24. I live in England with my parents ,2 brothers and a cat called Beau.

I am part of postcrossing (a website where you send postcards to people all over the world) and I really enjoy it. I was recommended swap-bot by a friend so thought I would try it.

I love receiving things in the post.

My favourite things to do include watching films (I am a huge film fan), going to the theatre, going to restaurants, baking, cooking. I love all things vintage and my favourite eras are from the 30s till the 50s. I love reading too

I like to pretend I'm Wonder Woman and eat lots of lovely cake. I adore going to the theatre and I wish I could survive on a diet of Mars Bars, fondant icing and cheese but alas I cannot. My ambition is to become queen of the cats and live in a cottage with an overgrown rose garden....or a secret garden like in the film.

I like keeping things I don't need and putting them in a 'memory box', buying things from etsy, bringing any conversation back to a film reference, dreaming of becoming a low-rate Barbra Streisand impersonator (joke), sleeping and eating.

I am a big fan of music - I love classic rock, metal, country music, pop, punk...I will try most things!

I have seen Roxy Music, Misfits, Goldfrapp, Fleetwood Mac, Dolly Parton, Britney Spears in concert and am seeing Lady Gaga in October.

I read a lot, mostly autobiographies/biographies of 30s/40s film stars.

Some of my favourite books are Layla & Majnun, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Love in the Time of Cholera, Veronika Decides to Die, Lady Chatterley's Lover & High Fidelity

I also read a lot of the medium of film and film theory.
