Hi, My name is Lydia I'm the momma to two lovely,slightly hyper girls(ages 4 and 6) and the wife to an artist/designer. I love painting,sewing,drawing..just creating! I sometimes overuse exclamation points... I'm currently having fun working on my art journal and I've just begun making ATC's.I'd love to find others willing to trade. I'm a little awkward and odd but nice. I like things that are quirky and my sense of humor is a little mad hatter. (Monty Python, Russel Brandt) I look forward to connecting with other creative types.:)

Anything...I like Opera sometimes, Carrie Underwood on other days and sometimes all I want to listen to is Lenka. It depends on my mood and what I'm doing I can only exercise to Skillet or music like that. Country music is good for cleaing but so is Smashmouth. Actually Smashmouth is fantastic when I'm feeling blah. Lately I've been very into Smashmouth. The Beatles and Rob Thomas are old favorites too.

I read a lot. My favorites books are anything by Jane Austen or Elizabeth Gaskell. I also like Tosca Lee,Julie Klassen and Neil Gaiman. Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet.

My Kids are 4 and 6 and are both girls. I call them The Kid and Gizmo on my blog... The Kid is my oldest and she's into smashbooking right now, purple and collecting pencils and stickers. Her favorite cartoons are Scooby Doo and Johnny Test. Gizmo is my youngest and is very girly. She likes Scooby Doo like my oldest but also likes Barbie and anything pink. She has her own smashbook too but she treats it like an art journal and is filling all of the pages with her own drawings, she loves drawing. She likes stickers.

Kill Bill, The Labyrinth, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Hunger Games,Alice in Wonderland, the Tim Burton one especially,Loved the Red Queen! I also love The Batman movies(all of them) and really anything done by Tim Burton, especially if it has Johnny Dep in it. I like Bollywood movies too but I don't get to see them very often because my husband hates movies where there's a lot of singing, lol. But the girls and I watch them together sometimes and they love them too.

ATCs,Zentangles,mail art,any kind of paper or napkin, trim- not a lot just a snippit, beads, keys,stickers. Colors: I tend to like most colors. I don't really like orange unless it's a shimmery orange like something you'd see on a sari. I actually love orange when it's presented that way especially with a fushia color as well. I'm not really picky though. My favorite color is a bright sunny yellow my second favorite color is deep burgundy. Themes: I like mermaids,fairies and kawaii. I'm kinda crazy for Batman and Alice in Wonderland. I like creepy things but not gore. I also love turtles. Random- I Love stripes. I love glittery, shimmery things.

I appreciate all crafts! I just started Smash booking and making art journals and I am loving both. I like to make atcs and also sew felt....creatures? I made a zombie Bloggess and gave it to her at her book signing. I've also made fairies,gnomes,mermaids and once I made a squid but I didn't love doing that one to be honest-the legs were fiddly to work with. I like painting with acrylics,most of my paintings are in the style of Mexican Folk Art.

Any kind of racism or hatred related images, anything overly political. I'm not trying to talk anyone away from their views but I have my own and would like them to be respected,that is all!
