My family and I have recently become mainly diary-free vegetarians (the mainly is vegetarian, not dairy-free :) ) We are working to switch over completely to an organic and natural diet, and the meats we do eat are organic, and locally grown. As always, I love to get recipes, so if you have any good ones, especially in this vein please feel free to pass them along!

I am a stay at home mom of 5, living in Downeast Maine. I love to crochet stuffies and also to write and read fantasy. I love fairies, dragons, really anything fantasy based. I play World of Warcraft in my little bit of spare time. I read a lot, and am right now reading the Xanth series by Piers Anthony. I like black and purple as far as colors go. I enjoy learning new things and am looking forward to learning to make felt softies. The other thing I really enjoy is cooking and baking. I read mostly cooking and family magazines. I watch just about any kind of movie, although I have a soft spot for foreign flicks. I like products made with essential oils. Also I am always looking for ways to simplify my life. With 5 kids, things are always crazy! My kids are 8, 5, 4, 2, and 1. I have 4 girls and the littlest is a boy. Please feel free to share your favorite recipes with me too. I love collecting new recipes, especially things that are new for us to try.

If you are sending soaps or other bath items, please do not send anything with cow's milk in it. My little guy is seriously allergic and I don't want something that he can get into. Food items with milk are okay, since I don't have to give those to him. :)

I am certainly not your stereotypical anything. I am contradictory in so many things. I just like what I like. If it is off from what others "expect" from me, then so be it. If it is hard for you to believe that a stay at home mom, with a thing for cooking shows, reads books about Jack the Ripper and has more Serial Killer knowledge than is probably good for her, then I am sorry for you. I am interested in vampires, and by that I mean the mythos and legends that have come up through the years, not True Blood and Twilight vamps. I am fascinated by the medical phenomenon that seems to be behind the werewolf and vampire legends, but part of my believes they really exist, the way you believe in the Tooth Fairy as a child. I love studying Wicca. Mythology has a very special place in my heart, but I can also sit down and show you trends in mythology that cross all religions, including Christianity. I love masks (as I have mentioned), but believe we all wear masks of one kind or another. I used to self-mutilate and recently had the scars covered with tattoos which I love. I will get more tattoos, but I purposely waited this long because I didn't want to get something I would regret. I really want to get a tattoo with the plague bird mask, but haven't found the one I want yet. I like to dance on the darker side of things, but at the same time, I want to make sure I raise my children to be joyful. I spent too many years depressed and in a very bad place. So although out of that bad place have come many of my loves as far as art, music, literature, film, and interests, I am hoping that my kids have a more positive go of it. I have an undeniable love of the theater and to me nothing is better than a good story. I am also working really hard to believe that I don't have to do things perfectly to have fun. Anyway, I am sure this is a rambling mess, I just wanted to add a little more personal information to my profile. This to me is more personal than where I live and my name and my family. This to me is the core of who I am.
