I am a retired high school math teacher. I love to sew and have been sewing since I was 4. My favorite color is red, but I love all colors! I love teaching quilt classes, creating quilt block patterns, and rewriting old block patterns with new shortcuts and techniques. I collect fabrics while on vacations and from far away friends, and any quilt shop I happen upon! My other favorite past times are reading novels (love the pioneer days), gardening & canning, making crafty gifts for family & friends.
My husband and I live in the country. He drives a tractor, I drive a sewing machine. We have a few cows and an old dog, Jake. We love sitting on our porch in the evenings and watching the wild deer, turkey, birds, or whatever wildlife happens to visit.
I am not a perfectionist by any means, I love the journey! I am called Nana by 13 grandchildren.
