Updated 22 June 2009: I've been doing a lot of e-mail swaps, and wanted to note: if you send your answers as an attachment, whether pdf or doc or whatever, I won't open it. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and a 5, but you won't get a heart if you make me work for it...

I work full time, I go to school full time, I have three kids. I'm tired! Swaps have always been my way of reaching out in the middle of a busy day. Kinda like a person who has time for a social life!! :)

I knit, I crochet, I sew and quilt, I do embroidery. I scrapbook, or at least I collect scrapbook supplies - I don't ever seem to actually scrapbook, except gift albums for other people. I'm big into socks right now, love knitting them. Will be teaching again this summer, and am looking forward to that. I love stitching and designing and miss it when I don't have time enough to do a little every day.

The Earthsea Cycle, especially the original three, are my favorite books of all time, along with Very Far Away From Anywhere Else. I love Anita Shreve, especially Light on Snow, and Jodi Picoult, especially My Sister's Keeper. Marisa de los Santos, Kris Radish, Anna Quindlen, Anne McCaffrey and Katherine Kurtz are among my favorites. I've read ALL the Pern books and ALL the Deryni books, and keep hoping for more. Before I went back to school I read a LOT (87 novels in 2007), including "the classics" - Three Musketeers, Emma, East of Eden, Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, etc - but there isn't much time now.

Wow, there are so many.... I could watch, over and over again, the following: The Thomas Crown Affair (remake with Pierce Brosnan), The American President, French Kiss, Pretty Woman, Message in a Bottle, For the Love of the Game, Arthur, Gigi, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Life is Beautiful, The Tiger and the Snow, Iron Man, Transformers, Hercules, The Emperor's New Groove (nooooo touchy!), Man on Fire, The Professional. Ummmm..... The Goodbye Girl, Pride and Prejudice (any of them), Jane Eyre (original w/ Orson Welles), Mame (the original w/ Rosalind Russell only), Pocketful of Miracles (old movie w/ Bette Davis). Tons of movies.

NCIS. House. Law and Order SVU and CI. That's about it. Do NOT do reality shows or bs television. Miss the era of the sitcom. Don't have a regular enough schedule to get involved in a regular-running show.

Lotsa good stuff. Love Creed, Nickelback, Green Day, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Theory of a Deadman, Kings of Leon, some Papa Roach, some Disturbed. Train, Maroon 5, old Billy Joel. No real affinity for 80s music, but Bat Out of Hell was my favorite album of all time for almost 30 years....

After moving six times in five years, I have had to pare down my collections. I own too much stuff, apparently, and it's all HEAVY!! :) Other than books and DVDs, I collect bookmarks of all types, candles (someday I'll actually burn them, honest!), tie tacks from places I've traveled, fridge magnets (also travel souvenirs, or funny ones, or frame ones that I can put photos in), and fibers of all types: silk ribbon, specialty embroidery fibers and floss, especially hand-dyed, and yarn of all kinds (nice and light for my next move!!)
