• Update 8/20 - I apologize to all - since Mom's passing life has just not been the same. I will not be participating in any swaps, and for those that have been flaked on - my sincere apologies. I never expected life to take such a unhappy turn.

• Update7/18 - Mom has gone to be with Jesus. Thank you to my swap-bot partners for your patience and the kind words that I have received since posting these medical crisis issues these past several weeks. Both Dads are recovering well.

On June 5th my father-in-law was released from the hospital for a heart condition. On June 6th my father fell. On June 7th he underwent surgery and had a two week hospital stay. On June 17th my mother-in-law began a week stay in the ICU for an unknown illness. She remains in the hospital, though no longer in ICU. This morning my father-in-law underwent surgery to place a stint in his heart.

I truly do enjoy the pleasure of opening my mailbox and finding treasures, but based on the above facts I just can’t find the time right now to hold up my end of the swap bargain. I work full-time and am an hour drive away from the three people I love mentioned above. If you are a partner and are patiently wondering where your swap items are, please accept my sincere apology.

I refuse to simply ignore a swap, I will at some point deliver your goods. I completely understand a low rating given based on a deadline that has passed with no treasure received. I pledge to mail them, all of them, as time allows. I am giving myself a personal deadline of the end of July to get things back in order.

Thank you for your understanding, and please, if prayers are in your life then I would appreciate them for Jack P, Helen P, and Jack B.

I live in the mountains (national forest) which speaks to my love of nature. Any day that I can spend outside is a good day.

God rocks.

I am part tomboy, part princess.

I would love to learn Latin, how to play the piano, and ride a horse.

If I could have any job in the world it would be as a team member of a canine search and rescue team.

My all time favorite author is Stephen King. That said, I also enjoy feel good books but you will often catch me curled up with an excellent crime novel.

Words of wisdom in a single line or paragraph. I put up on my refrigerator to make me think, and to make me smile.

I keep calendar pages (especially those page a day kind) and put their happy thoughts where I can see them and change them often so they don't become taken for granted.

If it causes me to tap my toes then it's good, regardless of the genre. Blues draws the most attention though.

I haven't watched television since 2009, first due to location, then by choice. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you take away the temptation to become a couch potato.

However, football season will always find me watching games. New Orleans Saints - need I say more.

The color palette of navy, hunter green, burnt orange, country blue, and marigold accent my home.

Pinterest is my time wasting passion. Making a house a home is an ongoing process that should never end.
