I'm in my late 20s. I have a beautiful (almost) 3-year old black lab named Luna.

I love picture books (especially the touch-and-feel ones) and young adult fiction.

Indie folk/pop/rock are my favourite genres.My most favourite musicians are Tegan and Sara and Sarah Blasko.

Other favourite artists include: Amanda Palmer, Angus & Julia Stone, Brooke Waggoner, Eisley, Hello Saferide, Mumford & Sons, Stars, Regina Spektor and The National.

I dislike: Muse, Radiohead, Slipknot, death metal, country or bling-bling-hoes-in-da-hood-style rap.

I'm a closeted top-40s pop lover. Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, 80s and 90s pop are my secret loves.

I watch a fair bit of non-English films. Some favourites are: Amelie, Rosenstrasse, 8 Femmes, A Chinese Odyssey 2002 and Le Papillon.

Some of the best films I've seen are: The Times of Harvey Milk, The Black Balloon, The Hours, V For Vendetta, Mean Girls, Donnie Darko, Before Sunrise, Spirited Away, To Be Or Not To Be (1942), Mulan and To Kill A Mockingbird.

30 Rock, Being Erica, Big Bang Theory, Bones, Buffy, Criminal Minds, Dr Who, Medium, Scrubs, Spooks, and Torchwood.

• Felt and patterned fabric (especially vintage)

• Brooches and necklaces (a bit on the charming nostalgic side, but not so much the flowery ones)

• Mix CDs

• Postcards

• Tegan and Sara newspaper/magazine clippings

• Magazines (favourites include Frankie, Peppermint and Dumbo Feather. I like Apartamento too but it's far too costly!)

• Labels (especially bookplate ones)

• Whimsical sketches

• Tote bags

• Sanrio (e.g. Hello Kitty) or other cutesy characters. Generally, I do like cute things, but not in excess.

• Not a fan of make-up, but I do like lip balm (e.g. Burt's Bees, Lush).

• Things with skulls, cigarette smells, coffee, blood, clowns, insects or anything depicting violent, homophobic, sexist, racist, political or religious beliefs on them.
