My name is Sherri and I am a Christian, mother of 2 and grandmother of 6. I am a native of Ohio and I have been a server/waitress for the better part of 38 years in the same small town. Before children, I had several penpals and participated in mail swaps and "round robins" through magazine ads. Now that I am an empty nester and home more due to my health, I would like to get involved in swapping through the mail again. After going through cancer treatment 7 years ago, I started making handmade cards and have been hooked on papercrafting since. Rubber stamping came about 6 years ago. Looking forward to participating in some swaps and meeting some new friends.

Like most kinds of music--Christian, Country, Big Band, Oldies, just about anything.

Bible, American history, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Country Decorating, Primitive Crafting. I also enjoy reading magazines--everything from crafting and decorating to Good Old Days and Reminise.

It's a Wonderful Life (and anything else with Jimmy Stewart), White Christmas, anything with Judy Garland, most musicals, most Christmas/holiday movies. Don't really watch any new movies.

I work evenings so I am not up on prime time TV. I like the old black and white sitcoms. I Love Lucy (my favorite), Andy Griffith Show, ect. If it's not on TV Land, Hallmark, PBS, Fox News or the History Channel, I probably have not seen it.

Papercrafting--Cardmaking, Scrapbooking, Rubber Stamping (my oldest daughter is a stampin' up demonstrator so that is very close to my heart--no pun intended! LOL--I have some of their stamps also!) , Altered Art, Inchies, and Atcs are at the top of the list. I also sew and dabble in primitive painting. I love the colors of mustard, barn red, and earthy/fall colors.

I love antiques and primitives. I enjoy taking something new and distressing it to look like it has been around for years. Garage and Yard sales, flea markets, antique and craft shows, and goodwill are my favorite haunts. Not many of the things I own are new. I actually used to buy and sell--more buying than selling! and I still sell a few things on Ebay now and again. Also collect buttons, vintage clipart and ephemera, baskets, mammies/Aunt Jemimas, scented lotions, thimbles, cameo jewelry, stickers, rubber stamps, cookie cutters and I love to bake and make candy.
