Hello! My name is Bonnie. I live in South Africa, at the very tip (almost) Surrounded by mountains, ocean, forests, vineyards and all things beautiful! There are no roaming lions and elephants were I live! I live with my husband. We've been married 20 years and have my two teenage children. I'm in the last year of my 30's! :(

Who I am as a person: I believe in being kind and respectful as far as possible. I like to make other people happy. I believe we are here to learn from each other. I hope to inspire others and add some joy to their lives. I don't believe in comparison or perfection, but on progress. I believe in following through on commitments and will always try and fulfill my swaps to the best of my ability.

I love to write, I have kept a journal since I was 12. I had a blog for 6 years. I write poetry and letters, journal and stories. I enjoy creating and crafting, making wooden furniture, photography and baking. I exercise everyday and enjoy learning about health and the human body and nutrition. I like to try new things and have many hobbies. I've lost both my parents and 2 of my siblings and know a thing or two about grief/life/depression.

Ever since I can remember I have loved paper. Stationary, cutting, pasting, reading, writing!

I make Journals which I sell online. I also make them for myself and my daughter and others. Junk journals, art journals etc.

I enjoy making cards and never buy them. I have made ATC's in the past and was involved in many ATC swaps but I have too many now and I am not interested in collecting or swapping more.

I have also participated in round robins in the past. I have done journal swaps.

I have had many penfriends since I was a pre-teen and my best friend was actually at first just a penpal who I started writing to when I was 17. Fast forward 22 years later and we are best friends and have met/holidayed a few times together over the years.

I love photography and nature, birds, cats and ladybirds. I love to crochet, bake and hike.

Period Dramas/romance like Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Becoming Jane.

I also like movies like The secret life of Walty Mitty, Amelia, What women want, My best Friends wedding. Basically light-hearted, romantic or funny. I do also like the occasional Sci-fi series/movie like Lost in Space.

Just a note:

Please note that I am in South Africa. I am happy to do international swaps but sometimes it can take at leasr 3 weeks to arrive. sometimes longer although that is unusual. This is not in my control. I am mostly interested in doing type 2 swaps (flat-pack) because postage from SA to other countries is so expensive so i don't want to get into bulky items that require padded envelopes.

Also just a note on mail TO South Africa. It seems it it can take 3 weeks (shortest) to at least 10 weeks. Especially from USA and China (up to 3 months). So your rating will be very much delayed. I will wait a full 8 weeks before I rate. Thanks for your understanding
