I feel like an adventurer in both the physical and metaphysical sense. If there’s a way I can explore a new land, culture and language I’ll try it. My interest in travel and nature first began in Hong Kong. I’ve travelled to some places in Asia and I hope to move to Japan someday.

I’ve studied Japanese for many years so occasionally I practice speaking it with others...but currently I study French.

I also explore various art forms. You name it I probably tried it, or plan to. I’ve done photography, videography, looked into graphic design, web design, knitting, sewing, writing, traditional film development and baking. There may be more but I can’t recall. The only downside to my curiosity In all these platforms is I don’t excel in any. Jack of all trades and master of none.

At the heart of it all, the treasure I seek is another form of self-expression that can help me connect with people in different ways. So rather than jump from one form to another I’ve learned to develop them in an order that makes sense. For example while video editing, if I want to incorporate any other layers, picture, animation or whatever...I take the time to learn how. In the end learning is connected with a purpose.

Anyway I realize this is a profile to introduce myself but I feel like it’s all babble. So now I guess I’ll answer the question, “Why did you join swap-bot?”

In my home city of Toronto I’ve always felt suffocated and lonely. No matter who I met I just couldn’t connect with people in the level I would have liked. I began to think there was something wrong with me until I went to Hong Kong. There I made friends who I could talk with and listen too, and also travel with. I got to see that if I extended my scope then maybe I could make cool friends I could vibe with.

I’m a bit sceptical coming into this swapping world, but I’ll just have to try and have fun with it! It’s my first time trying anything like this! I’ve been telling my family that I wanted to send and receive mail but I didn’t have anyone to mail to.

Finally to end it all off I’ll just talk about my aspirations. Talking about the future is pretty exciting because I’m a dreamer. Whenever I’m upset I conjure an image of a brighter future and it helps me get through anything.

Currently I’m interested in writing. It probably comes as a shocker since I’m sure there’s many mistakes in the text since I’m using a phone and it’s nearly 2am. It’s been something I’ve been into for the past few months...maybe years if you count all the times I started and stopped blogs and fan fiction. I write about my travels and also make videos of them. I also write fiction. My book is due to come out next year...I hope!

I hope I wrote enough...it’s too much “Me.Me.Me” if you ask me. ;)
