Hello all! I'm completely new to this website but am incredibly excited to be involved in swaps.

I think it goes without saying that I love arts and crafts. Honestly all arts inspire and push me (drawing, painting, beading, dancing and music).

I have been told before that I love and am inspired by too many things. Though this may be true, I don't think you can be inspired by "too" much. I am a sucker for anything period, cultural, natural, bright and fun.

I guess that would make me a worldly, renaissance, rock-a-billy, hippie who can still be seen running around with rainbow beaded bracelets and pigtails in my hair.

Some things I love include:

Pinup (Bettie Page, Fighter plane nose art), the roaring 20s ( flapper dresses, bootlegging, speak easy), the 50s rock and roll scene (also rock-a-billy), the 60s, 80s, and 90s.

Also, cultural art and language as well as cultural clothing. I have always wanted to travel the world to meet people, learn cultures and languages. I think there is lots of beauty in culture and I'm very attracted to it.

Nature is another major part of my being. Feathers, plants, animals, and skies are all part of my being. I've been called a hippie, a gypsy and a faerie at various points and in some ways this does radiate well with who I am.

As for other things (especially nerdy) I love video games, old video games. My preferred systems are NES and SNES and I'm a huge fan of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Maniac Mansion( if you know what this is I have instant love for you). I also can be considered pro femme and love open conversation.

I'd love to say I'm an avid reader. I am not but I do love to read when I find the time. Some of my favorite authors/titles are Feed by M.T. Anderson, Alice in Wonderland, The Hobbit, The Vampire Chronicles series by Anne Rice, I was a Teenage Fairy by Francesca Leah Block, On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Walden by Thoraeu, and Inga Muscio. I am also a huge fan of fairy tales like The Red and Green Fairy books and Mother Goose.

I'm a fan of fairy tales, documentaries, horrors, comedies and classics. Some of my favorite titles include Pan's Labyrinth,Tank Girl, Night of the Living Dead, Audition, Anchor Man, and The Court Jester. I'm also a fan of Bollywood movies like Kal Ho Naa Ho.

Daria is a must in my book and along those same lines I should throw in The Gilmore Girls. I love the witty, intelligent content of both of these shows. Some of my other favorites include American Horror Story, Walking Dead, Farscape, and The Big Bang Theory.

I love drawing and painting, making jewelry, a little bit of sewing and knitting and book binding. I have currently been obsessed with making Dream Catchers and am in the process of improving my knitting skills. I am also always open to learning new art skills and love being a part of craft circles and artsy friends.

I love all types of music but currently have a preference for folk and indie music with a bit of rock thrown in. I'm such a sucker for strong female vocals including Amanda Palmer, Bjork, Zap Mama, Ani DiFranco and Rising Appalachia. I do also love male artists like Eddie Vedder and Voltaire.

Also, I believe that music from other countries is beautiful. I grew up listening to punjabi and classical Indian music, hispanic music ranging from tango to bachata,and Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and Japanese music.

Some other artists that move my soul are Norah Jones, Against Me!, Tsunami Bomb, The Coup, The Rolling Stones, Dolly Parton and La Dispute to name a few. I'm honestly up for just about anything you throw at me.
