APlusAmigurumi

Crochet is number one! I specifically like to make amigurumi with my own patterns. I love to be creative and play around with new shapes, colors and tiny details in my work.

I also enjoy paper crafting quite a bit. ATC's have a soft spot in my heart, but I don't get to make them as often as I like. That's what swaps are for, though! They give me a reason to sit down at the kitchen table and create. Hand drawn or painted ATC's are my favorite.

Knitting is difficult for me, but I do enjoy the finished product. I'm still a beginner and have been for four long years. ;) I don't think I'll ever knit a sweater or a pair of socks, but I can make a hat on straight needles and some small things for my amis.

I should have mentioned this sooner! I'm crazy about digital scrapbooking! It's quick, inexpensive and I love being able to alter the elements and use them over and over. I'm starting to design my own digi kits and I really hope I can sell them someday when I get better. If you're a digi scrapper who would like to try my kits (for free, of course), send me a message!

Another thing I do is sew and embroider. I have a sewing machine, but the projects I work on are so small that I prefer to hand sew. I'm not the best at sewing or embroidery, but I'm slowly improving. My favorite things to sew are stuffies/lovies.

Crafts I dabble in are wood burning, polymer clay, spinning (yarn), stenciling and painting.

Crafts I really want to try are cake decorating, candle making, needle felting and stamp carving.

I collect beanie babies, as well as all different types of handmade stuffies and amis.

I love chocolate, especially with nuts, caramel or marshmallows. Dark chocolate is wonderful, too!

Receiving ephemera, little whimsies and fun papers is a favorite!

I adore the colors yellow, green, light blue, light pink, purple and gray.

My favorite TV show is LOST. I'm obsessed!

Animals I really like right now are birds, woodland creatures, whales, walruses, cthulus (even though they aren't real), moose, camels and kangaroos.

Some themes I like are teacups, watermelon, birds, science, geeky/nerdy, air, clouds and vintage.

Speaking of vintage, my living room and kitchen are decorated in all vintage goodies. I love a good vintage find, even if it has seen better days. Little teacups and figurines are my favorites. I like to paint the little figurines (must remember to post pics of this someday).

Favorite flowers: orchids and sunflowers

Favorite foods: anything spicy, coffee flavored things, chocolate, salty + sweet, cherry and chicken

I don't smoke, drink or do any kind of drugs. I absolutely don't want anything depicting these activities, and I would prefer if a package didn't smell like smoke.

I'm not religious

I don't like knives, guns or lots of violence

Scary, skulls, freaky, sci fi, etc. is okay, but nothing death/devil please!

I can't stand the scent of lavender. I know most people like it, but it really bugs the poo out of me for some reason

The only time I like to smell or taste anything minty is when I'm brushing my teeth or chewing gum.

Anything kawaii! I especially love plush and other little trinkets.

Japanese treasures or candies/snack. I'm crazy about everything Japanese (even taking Japanese lessons).

Yarn! I really like wool or soft acrylic. I'm not a big fan of cotton, but it will do.

Anything I can use on my amigurumis, like safety eyes, ribbons, beads, buttons, felt, etc.

Crocheted or knit pot holders. I collect these and hang them on my wall.

Doilies, especially if they look vintage

7 inch granny squares for the friendship afghan I'm making....any colors. No wool please! I want the blanket to be washable. Wool blends or superwash wools are fine, though.

Fat quarters of some funky, cool fabric

Tulle

Handmade stuffies and/or beanie babies (not handmade). The beanies don't need to have the tag. I just collect them for fun and because I love them, not for profit. :)

Antique buttons, from your stash or salvaged from old clothes. Anything fun or interesting!

Stamps, pens, papers or other embellishments to use on my ATCs.

Vintage finds from your local re-sale shops

ATC's...I would love any, but these themes would be particularly cool: kawaii, Japanese, LOST themed, birds/birdcages, sea life, woodland creatures, hand drawn or painted, kitchy, vintage, textured or science
