Description:

For this swap, you will write a short piece of fiction (short means minimum of 2 typed pages) that leaves your reader with questions and/or simply wanting MORE.

You can choose to do a complete short story with a cliffhanger ending (or at least unanswered questions).

Or you can choose to do a single scene that is part of a much larger story (scene must have some form of characterization and plot development to stand somewhat on its own).

The point is to grab your reader and give them just enough information to be drawn in - and then leave them with the feeling that they want to e-mail you to ask what happens next or what the big, unrevealed secret is.

Writers of all levels are welcome. No experience necessary. Stories must be in English unless you've established with your partner that another language is acceptible before-hand. Newbies are welcome if they have detailed profile and e-mail me before the sign-up deadline. This swap is international.

No no-sends in the last 6 months. Must have 4.7 rating or higher.

This is my first time hosting a swap, so feedback is welcome. Note that this is intended to be FUN and to frustrate our fellow swap-bot writers with a short, written tease.

Hearts can be given for overall plot/character development and/or success in the overall objective (leaving you hanging, wondering). Of course, hearts can be given for obvious time and effort devoted to this, and anything that goes above and beyond, such as presentation and/or illustrations, etc.... anything goes.

is this an e-swap or a mail swap??

Are there any content guidelines? For example my story has horror-related violence and I don't want to offend anyone...

Hi, thanks for your questions!

Dreamrains - I guess I am just a bit of a traditionalist... there's nothing like holding a good "book" or story in your hand. BUT I don't see anything wrong with sending it via e-mail if you prefer. Just let your partners know ahead of time whether you will e-mailing or mailing. That way no one is waiting by the mailbox for something that is in their Inbox! :)

Julief - No content guidelines! Horror stories are fantastic. Just give your partners a heads-up so no one is caught off-guard.
