Description:

This is a swap for all those Lego lovers (or parents of Lego lovers) out there!

For this swap you will need a Lego box from a recent purchase of a Lego set. Cut up the Lego box to create a 6"x4" postcard. Try and find the most interesting images from the box to make your postcard.

On the back (the brown side), place postage stamp(s) in the top right corner and write a message to your partner about the Lego set. You could write about who it was for, what they (or you) love about it, how much it cost, whether it's your first Lego or is it an addition to a collection etc. Any story about Lego will be suitable!!

To join, you must have a 4.9 or higher rating. Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. I will look over all participants and will remove anyone that looks questionable. This is a swap that will no doubt be interesting for our kids, so ideally, one would hope that everyone pulls through for this swap! I am happy to angel though!

Happy Swapping!

I would love to join, but my son totally refuses to let go of any of his boxes! He saves them (even on our recent out of state move!) haha. Cute idea, though! :)

That's funny USAFwife! My son doesn't keep the boxes, because once he makes the Lego he usually keeps it all complete to play with, so he doesn't need the box anymore to store it. He has a separate box for all of the instruction booklets. So the Lego boxes are usually recycled here. However with the last few boxes, we've made these into postcards and sent them to family members who gave him money for this birthday (which he used to buy the Lego). The postcards were really cute! Hence why I thought it would be a fun swap here!

Great idea! My boys are both obsessed with Legos! Every $ they get from Birthdays/holidays, they spend on Legos. We have more than 30 different sets!! I've been making notebooks for them out of the boxes with my book binder.

Please address my postcard to my son Ethan

My son will kill me if I'll cut his Lego boxes...lol Great idea though!

This is such a cute idea! I keep the boxes from my sets, though. I've been collecting since I was a kid, so some of them are vintage!
