If you see that there are swappers on my swap that have less than a 5.0 rating I just want you to check out their profile before you decide you won't join unless it is a pure 5.0. I see two of my swappers that are trying really hard to increase their ratings and I do watch every swapper profile to see or to give me a gut feeling as to ban or not to ban. If this makes you unhappy, don't join! But don't make a comment either.

I'm thinking of joining but I have never joined a swap of this type. What kind of things do people choose to buy?? Thrift stores sell so many different things!!

Cindynvb:You are not required to check a persons' profile, it just seems easier that way. If you can't find anything relative to it then send something that you wouldn't mind getting. No one so far has been too disappointed or at least never let me know.

is there a size limit on the package?

kolfinna, of course not, send what you find or even love yourself and send it in any size you want.

The last thrift store swap I was in with ladydy5 I got a profile specific book that the sender sent via priority mail. She spent more sending it than the book cost her! Not only was it my favorite author, it was hardcover. It was so thoughtful; I loved that my sender really took the time to check my profile! It was a FANTASTIC book and my sender got a big fat 5 and a HEART.

Hello, are yard/garage sale items acceptable for this swap also? I would love to participate in this swap either way, but if yard/garage sale items are also allowed then that would give me more opportunities/places to shop.

Here we go ladies, names are up so go for it and if successful again I will be putting up no. 18 next month. I checked every newbie, had to eliminate one reluctantly and noticed that my low rated one is doing quite well, so relax and enjoy receiving and sending. Any probelms always let me know.

Lordy, I just noticed one Canada swapper and this was just USA. Doesn;'t anyone read the description? Now a po strike but the dear one that got her name and the one who is to receive will have to wait for the strike to get over? This will not happen again if I have to check 100 swappers.

I've had good luck in sending and receiving mail to Canada despite the strike. My advice to whomever is in or sending to Canada is just send it anyway.

I think the strike is over in Canada, now all we have to do is wait and see about the USA jpostoffices when their contract is up in October.

You can see that I had four decided not to send. One or two have had emergency things happen to them but I doubt if they will send unless their swappers has received word from them. Do I have an angel or two for them? Please PM me if you can help out, I just hate it when someone gets flaked. I will do one but cannot do all four. Help!!
