Description:

As suggested by @LadyStephanie in the group I'm going to host something simple for those tight on a budget or just not wanting to do much!!

You'll take a plain white envelope and make it look like a rainy day. Draw, Color, Marker, Paint, etc!!

Then you'll include these three things below PLUS two more flat surprises for your partner.

  • A Pencil Puzzle...crossword, sudoku, scamblets, logic problem, word search, etc. (Send a page or two from printed over the internet or a book you may already have)
  • A Rescued Recipe...rescued from a food box, magazine or newspaper (Please keep in mind partner's allergies and food preferences...don't want to send a meat recipe to someone who doesn't eat meat!)
  • A Leisure List...ten things to do/enjoy when it rains (10 things YOU enjoy doing on a rainy day)

PLUS two more items. Could be a hand decorated bookmark, an ATC, another puzzle, a cool news article (nothing sad or depressing please), A mini ATC kit of flat goodies (image, background, etc), a list of 10 books you have read you think you're partner would enjoy, a tea bag, etc! There's a ton of possibilities that you could send!!

And all it would cost is a stamp or two! Try to put everything into the envelope you just decorated, a label on the front with your partner's address and send it off that way!

This is so cool! Glad I'm not the only one that likes putting together fun envies.

Hi there! I don't buy magazines or newspapers - would it be okay to type up or neatly hand-write a recipe for my partner instead? Like a tried-and-tested one I like to make?

Also, as this swap is happening twice and I'd love to do it twice, I was considering creating a mini-zine with the aforementioned requirements in it and then the extras also as part of the same zine.. would that be okay or am I stretching this too far? [I was thinking, front cover... a puzzle, a recipe, a list, then some other things written up/drawn on the other pages?]

If that is okay with your partner then yes.

And yes it is okay to type up recipes, etc!
