I Wrote To The Zoo...

I wrote to the zoo to sent me a pet. They sent me an...Elephant! He was too big! I sent him back.

I doubt there would be many who are unfamiliar with these words, and indeed this book! As a 5 year old, I remember taking this magical journey with my mother, and now I am blessed enough to take this journey with my son...and my classroom full of 5 year olds!

And I still love it just as much today as when I first heard it!

You will have 1 partner.

You will take a larger sized matchbox (or make you own) and decorate the outside to look like a toybox.

You will then make 8 ATC's (one each of the following: elephant, giraffe, lion, camel, snake, monkey, frog and puppy) to fit inside the matchbox.

Then package your zoo up nice and snug, and send it off to your partner.
