Description:

Do you love yarn? Is your yarn stash taking on a life of its own? Do you collect yarn for the sheer joy of just owning it, petting it and smooshing it? If so, this is the swap for you.

For this swap you'll send 200g of fine quality yarn to one partner. LYS please, not generic stuff you can get anywhere. Bonus points if you can find some lovely locally produced or native yarns that your partner might not be able to get locally. Support your local indie dyers and yarn producers! I'd prefer to keep it to natural fibres, no nasty acrylic, but check profiles for preferences or allergies (don't send merino to someone with a wool allergy!) Please no Patons, Red Heart, King Cole or other ordinary stuff.

You can send 4x 50g or 2 x 100g, but please make sure they match - we want to be able to make something gorgeous with our swap goodies! You can send a little something extra for hearts, such as stitch markers, knitting or crochet notions or pattern recommendations, but it's not essential. It's perfectly acceptable to send something delicious from your own stash as long as it's like new, with ball bands and has been kept pet and smoke free.

If you have any solid preferences, then leave a note below, but keep things to just general guidelines and prepare for a lovely surprise. Ravelry user names would be much appreciated so we can stalk each others project and stash pages!

Fully filled out profiles for this, ratings of 4.8 and over. No recent 1s or 3s without good explanation. I will check everyone before assigning partners.

This is a slightly more expensive than normal swap, I admit. But good yarn is worth it, don't you agree? :)

Ravelry is www.ravelry.com and is an amazing site for all knitters, crocheters and other yarn fanatics. A never ending source of information, patterns and great folks.

LYS is local yarn store - you know, those lovely little independently run places that stock good quality yarn, not the type of stuff you get at Joanne's and Walmart and such.

No, not handspun wool unless your partner specifically likes that kind of thing and you have all the fibre information. Hope that helps!
