Description:

I am an avid reader and there is nothing like curling up with a good book on any given day. There are multiple lists on books that should be read before one dies. So this is your chane to email 2 partners a list of the 30 books that you deem essential to read before someone dies.

I like the idea, but 50 is a lot. I'll see if I can come up with that many by the sign-up deadline. If so, I'll sign up.

I edited this swap from 50 to 30.

I am working on a list now :) I have like 60+ but I will only email my first page of 30 to my partner. I am always working on my bucket list so this is a great inspiration to get a list of books ready, Im shooting for 100 :)

Megan1228 03/ 8/2011 #

@blockstar ..i did have the list at 50! You are more than welcome to include how ever many that you would like. I too have a bucket list and my list is to read 250 by the time I turn 30! Only have years to go!

Malcakes25 03/ 8/2011 #

I read 2 books a week, so making a list was easy. I hope everyone enjoys my suggestions as much as I enjoyed reading them!

playkonstantine 03/ 8/2011 #

Should we count books in a series as separate books, or cluster them under one number?

blockstar 03/ 8/2011 #

I counted the series' as one book? Idk how to do it "correctly" but that is how I did it?

Megan1228 03/ 9/2011 #

@playkonstantine I would count the series as one book.

PisceanMama 03/ 9/2011 #

Oh, this is going to be a lot of fun! I've got a goal this year of reading 100 books and I'm already up to 57. So it shouldn't be too difficult to put together a list. :) I'll try working on it over the next couple of days.

Whoever gets me as a partner, be prepared for eclectic. I read everything from kids books to graphic novels to mysteries to paranormal to non-fiction to biographies to... well, you get the picture. :)

Since this is an email swap, I´d love to recieve more than two lists. I think it would be no extra effort to send the list to a few other people.

May be everyone who´s interested could exchange mail addresses?

What about you PisceanMama? I´d love to read your list!

By the way...30 books is far too short. My one has already 50 books on it.

Megan1228 03/11/2011 #

Your list doesn't have to be limited to 30, you can go as far as you like on this list!

Unmutual 03/11/2011 #

...so, I should feel embarassed that I'm finding it difficult to get to 30? :p

(on a more serious note, how strict is the definition of "book". Is a book of poetry OK? Graphic novels?)

Megan1228 03/11/2011 #

@Unmutual Book of Poetry and Graphic Novels are okay. Everyone's list is just what you feel are the best books ever, and feel that everyone should read them.

This was fun, I sent out my list right away, can't wait to see what type of book lists I get in return.

rabu 03/15/2011 #

this was fun. I sent out my list to both people yesterday..

PisceanMama 03/15/2011 #

I got mine out this morning and loved putting the list together. (Again, sorry to my partners for being late on it). If anyone is curious (Atropos, I'm looking at you!), I'll be happy to send them my list as well. I think I'm going to put it up on my blog as well, so you can take a look there.
