Description:
Let's do a nice quilt block (any pattern you choose) and then sign it either with washable ink or embroidery thread with your name and date somewhere on the front of the block. The block will be 12 1/2 x12 1/2 (to allow for piecing together) and should be made with quality cotton fabrics. No recent 1's or 3's, at least 4.90 rating, 1 partner.

Okay, since I'm new to sewing I have a question. A quilt block is a 12x12 piece of fabric that you have quilted together, right? Kind of like a mini quilt?

actually, it would be without the batting and backing...so it's just the front piece by itself that you have pieced together. with a 1/2/inch border so that it can be sewn into a quilt angiegirl, the actual quilting takes place later when the person has all their blocks together and puts them into one topper and then adds the inner batting and back liner and quilts the three together. i hope that makes sense. thanks for asking.
