Description:

I swiped the swap description from @Beckra with her permission (with a few modifications)

I enjoy postcard swaps so much and am often delighted by the little glimpses of other people's lives that they offer. Here's a chance to get to know the sender a little bit better because you'll receive multiple cards from them, written and sent over the course of a week.... Interested? Read on!

For this swap you will have 1 partner, and you will send that partner 7 postcards. On each postcard you should write a diary-type entry.

Partners will be assigned 3/26. Write your first card 3/26 & post on Sun, 3/27 and write your last card on Fri, 4/1 & post Sat, 4/2. At the end of each day, give yourself some time to record the day's events. What did you do that day? What did you think about? Did something make you especially happy or especially unhappy? You can write anything along these lines, as long as you're giving some sort of view of your day. The next morning, pop that postcard in the mail, and write the next card that evening. Repeat until the week is out! (Of course, since no mail moves on Sundays, the Saturday postcard will have to be mailed on the following Monday.)

If you don't have access to a mailbox every day, you can write a card a day and then mail all the cards at once on 4/2

Types of postcards sent are the sender's choice. Both commercially produced cards and hand-made cards are fine, though if your card is delicate you may want to send it in an envelope (and that's okay for this swap). (*Reminder: If you decide to use envelopes for your delicates, you will still be required to send your cards individually. 7 stamps (1/day) are to be used in this swap.)

TERMS: 1) This is an USA swap only; please be sure you're willing to pay postage for 7 postcards. 2) Newbies allowed ONLY with a fully filled out profile (more than 2 lines). 3) Swappers 4.90+ in this swap. [This is ONLY Negotiable IF you contact me first.] If there's something on your profile that you think might raise eyebrows, please PM me in advance. 4) I will not drop anyone until the Sign up deadline has passed. Anyone who hasn't logged into Swap-bot in over a week prior to the sign up deadline will be dropped. Anyone with unexplained 1s or 3s will be dropped. Don't forget to include your Swap-bot name & the name of the swap on your postcards.

I just want to make sure that everyone receives their postcards and that all swappers participating are ready to write and send! Please contact me with any questions.

these are awesome fun swaps-thanks for hosting round #2! and btw-we will actually be sending out EIGHT pc's (Sat. to Sat.), not 7 as it says in the swap description...in case anyone else was confused when "doing the math" on it! :)

StwbyQT 02/20/2011 #

Partners will be assigned 3/26 & you will send out your first card 3/27 on through -->4/2 = 7 postcards.

Hey! Thanks for the info! I already had this on my watchlist. Love that feature!!! I do this for my mom every day but on a notecard. It'll be nice to have the cheaper postage. Haha!

StwbyQT 02/26/2011 #

@Winkie You're welcome & I do too! ;) I know what you mean about the cheaper postage.. that's why I love this swap (hosting AND participating!)

Okay....I'm about to send my first postcard....but should I wait until I've sent all seven before I click that I've sent my items?

StwbyQT 03/27/2011 #

:) Thanks, @KarlaKC Yes, @ReaderChris you will hit "sent" upon the last card being posted. Should you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me directly! Welcome to Swap-Bot!

cindynvb 03/31/2011 #

I have not recieved ANY cards yet, has anyone else started to get thier cards?

ReaderChris 04/ 1/2011 #

Nope. I'm writing my last one - card #7 (! ! !) right now, but haven't received any yet. I've really enjoyed sending them, though!

stevemokay 04/ 4/2011 #

I really enjoyed sending my postcards everyday. I just received my first one Saturday. Postcards do travel slower than letters! This was a great swap...

StwbyQT 04/ 7/2011 #

:) I'm glad you enjoyed, @stevemokay
