Long Time Pen Pals

I saw a swap recently where someone set up a swap to promote their new group. I started my group "Long Time Pen Pals" a month ago, and don't have many takers, so I thought I'd try this idea.

The idea of the swap/group is for people who have been pen palling for a few years - letters, not email only - at least, who are regularly swapping FB's, assorted 'bags', and such, to get together. I've been pen palling for 23 years (yikes, that makes me feel old!), and remember paying pen pal services for addresses of pen pals, and finding pen pals in the Tiger Beat type teen mags! If you remember such things, this swap/group is certainly for you!

So, for the swap, you will have one partner, and send your partner a letter. Since this is for people who are familiar with pen palling, I don't think I need to put requirements on the length of letter. Would be nice to introduce yourself, family, hobbies, and maybe how you got involved with pen palling. You don't need to include anything else, just the letter is the requirement.

You do not need to do the swap to join the group, or vice versa. I will check profiles for the swap and the group - you do need to have a comment somewhere on your profile about pen palling, because, after all, that is the idea! :)

I"m going to set this swap up as International. If you would rather do a USA only or USA/Canada swap, please let me know. I"m willing to set up another swap!
